I just got a Nintendo 64 last week. So far, I have Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Star Wars: Episode I Podracing. I just need some suggestions for good games to seek out, and I wanted to know what were some of the best of the lot.

My personal favorite, was either Goldeneye or Super Smash Bros.

So go ahead and mention some great classics of the bygone era, when Nintendo wasn't just thrusting gimmicks at us.

You can't have a good N64 collection without Super Mario 64 and Conker's Bad Fur Day.

Mario Kart 64 and Pokemon Snap also deserve a mention. On that note, I personally have good memories of Pokemon Stadium 1/2, but I know that one's really for hardcore Poke-fans only.

Kirby: The Crystal Shards is another fun one.

I second Banjo-Kazooie. Banjo-Twooie [sp?] is also good.

Just off the top of my head: Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, the original Turok, Donkey Kong 64, Perfect Dark, Rayman 2: The Great Escape, Super Mario 64...that's all I can think of at the moment.

EDIT: GAH! How did I forget Majora's Mask?

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and Donkey Kong 64 come to mind. Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie, and that's all that comes to mind right now.

Mega Man 64, the N64 port of Mega Man Legends is pretty awesome. It's not quite as good as the PS1 version (controls are kinda crappy on N64, plus foggy graphics) but it's a fun action RPG with a rewarding upgrade system and fun gameplay. I doubt it's quite as pricy as the PS1 versions of it and the sequel (sadly only on PS1).

Look it up.

Kirby 64 and Pokemon Snap!. Those are two of my absolute favorites. I'm surprised that a concept like Pokemon Snap! worked out as well as it did.

Donkey Kong 64. I remember begging my parents for that game and being exhilarated when I finally got it. My little sister was less amused, it was a present for the both of us :p

We ended up playing that game to death though, I loved the hell out of it. Great platforming, diverse action and a nice theme song that up to this day I can still recite in full.

Rainbow Six! Hell yeah, great game it was. Also, Starfox 64 and Golden Eye get honorable mentions.

Star Wars: Episode I Racing was the name that got me into console gaming in the first place. While I have tons of favourites, that is my top favourite, followed closely by Mario Tennis.

Clayfighter 63 and a 1/3, when I was 5 or 6 I loved that game so much, recently however I've found out that its almost universally hated by critics, but I dont care, it was part of my childhood dammit.
