How could I forget The Brave Little Toaster?!
If youre a kid of the 90s theres no excuse for forgetting The Brave Little Toaster, loved that movie. Oh crap i just remembered Emperors New Groove! (although that one is against the rules of this thread, blah)
I am ashamed and I have no excuses. In fact, it's a bit worse than normal because I just watched The Brave Little Toaster a few days ago. I'm a terrible 90's child.

The Triplets of Belleville.
This. that movie was awesome. Some of the Miyazaki stuff is pretty great as well (Porco Rosso is probably my personal favourate, or maybe spirited away).

Resident Evil: Degeneration

truly awesome.

Aside from most Pixar, and Dreamworks movies. The Brave Little Toaster was epic

If animated counts with anime then Fooly Cooly. Crazy girl beats kid over head with guitar and interdemensional robot bursts out and trys to iron planet kinda good :p

The Last Unicorn - a 'kiddy' film I grant you but it had some brilliant writing and dark undertones. I'm 26 years old now and it's still entertaining!

basically every Pixar film :)
Basically Pixar is owned by Disney.

I'd pick Kung Fu Panda, Iron Giant, Spirited Away or...I've got none. I have atleast 15 animated movies BY Disney that exceed these three. Without Disney, animation doesn't exist.
Well if you are going to say that Pixar films don't count becuse they are made in association with Disney then you can't count Spirited Away either because Studio Ghilbi makes their movies in association with Disney also.
Actually Ghibli films are only distributed and possibly dubbed by Disney for most of the English versions.

They are made as whole films by Ghibli and it's partners.

On Topic i'll say The Place Promised In Our Early Days. Such a sweet Japanese made animation.

The Wizards. Haven't seen it since in two decades, but it's still on my all time fave movie list.

Daaamn, this thread is like animation heaven. I feel like Scrooge McDuck except the gold coins are replaced with timeless classics.

I'm going to say WALL-E. Romance and robots are two things I appreciate a lot.

Howl's Moving Castle, Triplets of Belvedere, and the animated Lord of the Rings all get honorable mention.

The Brave Little Toaster!

What? I really dislike anime and im rather meh about pixars cookie cutter movies.
Really? I don't think Pixar films are 'cookie cutter' so much as 'following the hero's journey format', which really isn't a point against them. Especially considering they're meant to appeal to the demographic of everyone.

Wall-e by Pixar. If for no other reason than the simple fact that I was blown away by their ability to express the emotion of a machine without resorting to giving it human characteristics (the word that describes this is lost to me for the moment).
