Anyone else remember C.O.P.S? with chief bulletproof, mutt etc, and villians like big boss and berserko?

They had some sweet toys (cap guns and hidden weapons, woo).

I've got a vague recollection about a cartoon from roughly 1985 called Alias the Jester.

Oh, and to whomever mentioned He-Man... don't watch it today. I saw an episode on boomerang a couple of weeks ago, and I cringed for the entire show. Childhood memory = shattered.

Reboot!
Sam and Max!

OK, so those aren't really old, but I can't really decipher the vague jumbles of memories involved with Merry Melodies cartoons.
Hell yeah! Reboot was freaking awesome. Darkwing Duck is also one of the good ones.

Though I will say the pinnacle of childrens entertainment lies squarely with Pinky and The Brain. Nothing beats that in my opinion. especially the episode where pinky takes over the world with a oyster petting zoo, and shiny pants.

Animaniacs and Tiny Toons also get honorable mention in my list.

Rugrats was my life as a kid. I also watched all the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shows, the first three seasons of Digimon(I want DVDs, dammit!), and since Yu Yu Hakusho is from the mid-ninety's, add that to the list. Tale Spin was pretty cool.

Other than these, there were a lot of good shows that I watched on Nickelodeon before the went the path of the Disney Channel, but I don't remember a lot of them.
Talespin was pretty cool, watched it everyday.

I am surprised no one has mentioned it yet. I was a huge G.I. Joe fan when I was little. I still remember constantly trying to make $3.15 because that was the exact cost of a new G.I. Joe figure.

A bit off topic, but if anyone knows the name of a show I watched as a kid, I would be very happy! Bits and pieces I remember:

It is a Japanese-type animation, about a boy who gets a puppy, that is supposed to grow up to be a grizzly-bear hunting/fighting dog. The grandfather of the boy trains the dog in "cruel" ways to make the dog harder, holding it under cold water etc. Fast forward to when the dog is grown-up (but not the kid, I think). For some reason there is this one Grizzly that is the main antagonist. It has a scar over one eye, and is often projected over a mountain as filler/in intro/illustration when talked about or whatever.

The dog (and the boy?) starts a journey (to get to the grizzly?). Along the way, they recruit other dogs, among others the teleporting, climbing ones... I believe there was a bulldog, and a female standard "love interest" dog as well.. The dogs could talk to eachother.

I rented it as a series of VHS', each "episode" being one "movie", but it may have had different formats in TV/elsewhere..? I saw at least 4-5 movies, but there is at least one more (assuming it didn't stop mid season). I would assume it was made in 80's, perhaps early 90's. I obviously never got to the ending, if such a thing should excist. I don't even think the main grizzly ever appeared "in person" during these first movies...

Anyone?

Best Intro. Best use of Guitar (Even better than Thundercats). Totally mad idea. Best characters. Best Voices. Truly an epic cartoon.

Pro Stars!!

Anyone who knows of the show etc wins an internet
I win the whole internet for remembering the cartoon with Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Bo Jackson(Bo Knows!)? I used to like that show a lot, was part of my Saturday morning line up.

I'd also add TMNT, Ghostbusters, Doug, Transformers, and Batman.
