The title sums it up. What are your favorite bands that most people have never heard about? After discovering The Lodger while browsing the web, I wonder what else I've been missing music wise. Right now my list is pretty limited, which is the reason I made this topic:

The Lodger

Edit: If you can provide links to the music that would be great, If not, we still have google.

Second Edit: Oh the irony, I didn't post my anything for the Lodger, here is something from playlist http://www.playlist.com/searchbeta/tracks#the%20lodger I would give you their official website, but it has turned into a viagra website, and is now a godaddy website.

I know some people have heard of them, but Dark Tranquillity make some of the most beautiful metal music I have ever listened to, 'specially on their album 'Haven'.

Homestar Runner. No, not the cartoon person, it is also the name of this brilliant Irish band that i went to see a few weeks back.

Motion City Soundtrack: I know most Americans, or anyone with some good sense of music would have heard of them, but sadly the area that i live in...Or, should i say, the country i live in, doesn't seem to know what good music is.

The Red Paintings, an Australian band that is awesome, unlike the other Australian bands.

The Blue Scholars, an introverted group of Hip-Hop geniuses, one of my favorite underground bands.

I personally think they are amazing, they just put so much meaning into all of their songs! Most of the songs are based from real life experiences that the lead singer went through, and that is somethng i just personally love!
