A-10C in H.A.W.X.

Plenty or armour, plenty of ammo (30mm and a firing rate of 4200 rpm), plenty of missiles, plenty of bombs and a VERY low stall speed ensuring who-ever goes into a turning-battle with me will soon get a cockpit-full of 30mm DU armour piercing rounds.

Else it'd be the L-85A2 in Battlefield 2. Full-auto capability (I hate 3-round burst. I can cut my own bursts thank you very much), optical sight and OK accuracy for longer range engagements.

+1 for Black Knight Greataxe from Dark Souls, that R2 attack is just... When it connects you feel like a GOD.

Maliwan Hellfire from Borderlands 1, Tediore in general for BL2, those reload kills are FANTASTIC.

The Combat Shotgun in Fallout 3. Gods I love that weapon. So powerful, so perfect. I love it! It can blow someone's head off with one shot, and often it will blow off arms and legs too just by shooting the head. I love Fallout 3 logic!

- Skyrim: The Glass Greatsword.
- Dark Souls: Moonlight Greatsword. How can you not love a sword that shoots out green laser beams. :D
- Fallout 3: Flamer! I love everything about it from the huge fireballs to the squeak of the tank valve.
- Fallout NV: Laser Rifle with just a few mods and that nifty high tech scope on it.
- Turok series: The Tek Bow was pretty cool.
- Mass Effect series: M-98 Widow Anti-Material Rifle.
- Dead Space 2: The Pulse Rifle.
- Killing Floor: MP7M Medic Gun.
- MW2: FAL assault rifle.
- Black Ops 1: M14 rifle.
- L4D2: Broken Guitar and Silenced SMG is my combo of choice. :3

Sniper rifles in PC shooter games (BF series, CoD series, MoH series, Crysis series) and the SCAR rifle from the Crysis series. Loved turning that one into a silenced sniper. Too bad it god solidly nerfed in Crysis 2. Looking forward to a would-be favorite, Compound Bow.

The Falcon assult rifle from ME3. Launching grenades off of a wall and making damn Cerberus run from cover is brilliant.

I'm a lover of one attack, one kill weapons, even if the attack is hard to do.
With a shotgun you have to get close.
With a sniper rifle you have to be accurate at a distance.
With a knife you have to get all ninja on their asses.

When it comes to automatic weapons, I demand the ability to aim at the gut, fire on full auto, let the recoil take me up to the head, and be sure that the enemy gets killed before the recoil goes higher than the head.

Hopefully I should run out of bullets doing that, because I love those frantic moments where you duck behind some cover, pull out a pistol, and try to get the situation under control before that weapon runs out.

The Tommy Gun (not actually called that in game) in Fallout New Vegas was perfect for that once you practised on a rock to get used to the fact that the bullets land just above where the sight points even if you fire one at a time.

Does a Tommy Gun count as an SMG or a PDW? It's got a calibre of 0.45 inches instead of the 0.36 inches (9mm) usually used in soldiers' pistols and SMGs.

Also is there a gun with the same basic design as a Tommy Gun but with a black polymer instead of wood, a curved linear magazine instead of a drum, a closed red dot sight instead of iron sights, and a flashlight on it? Because that would be insanely awesome!

i fucking love the vulcan chain gun! anywhere it is. i remember the first hit man's last mission. you used it to mow down a shit load of agent 47 clones. and the famous scene in fps games where you shoot down hellis with it. they are pure awesome!

the next one is the redeemer from unreal tournament series.
the magnum sniper and the machine gun from CS.
the daedric dagger in skyrim.

the Railway Rifle from Fallout 3.

It shoots railroad spikes for Lucifer sake!
You can pin heads to walls.
And look at that design, it's like a crossbow and shotgun made sweet love and hit the genetic lottery.

Currently playing Fallout 2. P90 with 10 agility means you can fire 2 bursts a round- 24 shots while everybody else gets one. Does decent damage too.
Gauss Pistol. 2 AP per shot, good dmg. Sniper perk+10 luck and agility = 5 crits per round. If only the ammo was to be found ANYWHERE.

Forgot to add my most important, favorite weapon!

The assault carbine in New Vegas! A nice, light caliber rifle, and one of the only full auto riles I could find. plus, the ammo is dirt cheap (1 cap per round!) and it tore through armor with it's standard bullet. And the AP rounds broke through power armor like it was tissue paper. Oh, the fun we had...

The war machete in Bastion
The basic .357 Magnum in New Vegas (I just like it)
Multirangs in Ty the Tasmanian Tiger (look it up)
And of course, the Halo: CE Magnum Pistol

I always use the Scarborough Fair in Bayonetta, even though they're the default weapon. I dunno, I just feel like the weapon is a character in itself. See also; Blades of Whatevergameitis in God Of War, Lancer in Gears of War, Kingdom Key in Kingdom Hearts (seriously, I only ever use the default one until Oblivion comes along) and the Hidden Blade in Assassins Creed.

Also, obligatory Devil May Cry weapon[footnote]another default weapon I use is Rebellion[/footnote].

The Brick in Timesplitters.
Agree on all accounts. The Laptop gun was such a fun weapon.

Balder Side Sword from Dark Souls. Haven't played it since the dlc was released, so I'm not sure if it was nerfed. Also, the Crystal Ring Shield from the same game, before it was nerfed into oblivion.
