Dual Berettas in Max Payne. Nothing beats gunning down a mob of thugs in bullet-time with dual Berettas. The Ingrams are too fast and the shotguns are too slow, the perfect guns being the dual berettas. Generic, but awesome.

Shuraba from Bayonetta, has a rather easily spammed combo that can hit quite a few angels.
Durga from Bayonetta. Can be used on Feet or Hands, and can use either Fire or Electric attacks. Fire hits harder but swings slower, as well as negating damage from walking on lava when equipped to the feet, Electric hits weaker but swings faster. I prefer to keep it on Electric to keep up the quick combos.
The Huntsman for the Sniper in TF2. People dislike it because TF2 has wonky hitboxes, however, I just love pinning people to the map.
Though it's not much of a "weapon" really since it's from an RTS, I'm gonna add the Eradicator Hexapod from CnC3:KW and the Rift Generator in CnC3. Creating a small black hole above a point in the map? Hell yes!
Any of the Rosaries in Okami, definitely my favorite weapon type in that game.

Melta Gun from Space Marine.

Flail gun from Bulletstorm.

Pretty much any weapon that can reliably turn enemies into salsa or scrap metal or shoots high damage lightning.

hmm let see. Depends on the game but my most favourite weapon in any game is Isabella "Ivy" Valentine's Snake Sword. Loved the moves that i could do with that weapon. I didn't like Ivy's main costume and used the alt ones when i could.

The Gauss Rifle from Fallout 3. That is my boomstick. Also, thanks to Mothership Zeta, ammo is pretty much a non-issue. Lots of fun with headsplosions.

It shoots railroad spikes for Lucifer sake!
You can pin heads to walls.
And look at that design, it's like a crossbow and shotgun made sweet love and hit the genetic lottery.

I liked the sound as you fired a spike into a face.

However for Fallout 3 the Xuanlong assault rifle was my favourite. Common ammo type, high damage, large clip, (relatively) easy to repair, it was decent in all categories.

i'm not sure i could pick just one. there are too many cool weapons out there. i do tend to prefer non-lethal types though, and weapons with unlimited ammo appeal to me too. the air taser from syphon filter's a good example. long range, non lethal, unlimited ammo, one shot take-downs.

I love sniper rifles like many others here, with my personal favorites being the T-Bolt from Uncharted 3 and the Nucleon Charge Rifle form Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. Both make especially powerful sounds when fired, and although the charge-up mechanic renders quick-scoping and no-scoping useless, the Nucleon still feels amazing to use. Nailing a shot after waiting for 100% charge felt much more satisfying than anything I could do with traditional snipers.

More great weapons from Fall of Cybertron would be the Gear Shredder and Energon Harvester. The Gear Shredder always makes for a nice change of pace from the usual guns, while the energon harvester sounds thunderous when fired. Not to mention the harvester gives you back health as you dish out the damage with it. =)

Kid Icarus: Uprising also has a crapload of weapons, with way more great options than I care to name. My favorite types of weapons there though, would be blades, bows, and palms.

I'll side with Yahtzee and say that gun that shoots Shurikens and Lightening from Painkiller. Personally I like the Dagger of Time from PoP. And the Hidden Blade from AC, Buster Sword from FF7, Gunblades from FF8, that axe from Turok: Evolution, the new Galvaknuckle from CoD: BlOps 2, and because it's awesome, though not gaming related, this:

Of the entire Mass Effect series, the M-99 Sabre Assault Rifle that you pick up on Horizon in ME3 was my favorite gun. All the power of a Sniper, with a better clip and faster reload time. I love single-shot weapons. I wrecked everything with that gun, even used it over the Falcon.

Fallout 3: Black Hawk Hunting Revolver.

New Vegas: The All-American.

Halo Series: The SAW. I love that gun.

Half-Life Series: Shotgun. Just...nothing beats it. The ragdoll effects in HL2 make it so satisfying to use. And the alternate fire firing two shells at once is glorious.

Borderlands: An SMG I got that did 44x2 damage. I could pretty much kill anything with that through the entire game, I got it really early. It also reloaded fast as hell.

Borderlands 2: Tediore SMG. Fire one bullet and then switch weapons. Tough enemy that you need to deal a lot of damage to kill? Need a Second Wind fast? Switch to the Tediore SMG and reload it. BOOM! 2000+ DAMAGE! FIRE ONE BULLET, RELOAD, BOOM! I used it as basically an emergency weapon. Luckily, ammo was pretty plentiful, I almost never ran out before I had more ammo. Plus, it was fun to use. Aiming it and whipping it across the map and scoring a kill on an enemy to Second Wind was very, very satisfying.

Oblivion: Umbra Sword. Lolyoumustbejoking, Clavikus, go fuck yourself, this is my sword now. I actually went in there and killed the wearer at the very start of my second playthrough by spamming her to death with a weak fire attack and blocking and sidestepping her attacks, while healing any damage I took. I killed everyone with it.

Skyrim: Well, my favorite spell was Fireball, but my favorite weapon...my Skyforge War Ax I got when I first joined the Companions. I held on to it for a very long time and kept it as a memento, it now sits above my fireplace in my house in Riften, along with my first Glass War Ax and the Iron Shield I picked up at the very start of the game when you escape through the torture chamber.

Dark Souls: Lightning Uchigatana+15. I like to yell, "I SHALL SLAY YOU WITH HONOR!" whenever I use the two-handed trigger attack.

God of War: Blade of Olympus, or Zeus's blade, or whatever that sword was called in GW2.

Gears of War series: The Bow. It fires explosive arrows that were an instant kill, no matter what. Also, swinging that thing at people with melee felt fucking awesome.

Dead Space 1: Plasma Cutter. I just really loved that gun.

Dead Space 2: Definitely the Seeker Rifle. I used the hell out of that gun. At one point, the only ammunition I carried was Seeker Rifle and Plasma Cutter. I did enjoy the pre-order Rivet gun, though. Especially when I found out what the secondary fire was. It was cool.

Assasin's Creed series: Hidden Blade, duh. I even equipped the Hidden Blade over swords or daggers for fighting with. That and my bare hands. It's fun to counter people and beat them the fuck down.
