Either the British Sten or the Russian PPsh-41 will be good as main arms. I've killed enough people with the Tommy Gun and the MP40 already, and the M3 Grease Gun has never really been a favorite of mine (style preferences - it looks too much like a Machine Pistol to me, and doesn't seem to have much of a stock, which is something I would be interested in having). I will also be accepting a Colt M1911 as my sidearm, since I can't think of any shotguns that were used in WWII.

The guns of the era, naturally....

The G43 is a thing of beauty. It's brilliantly engineered for its time, highly reliable, accurate and easy to operate. German soldier praised it for its functionality, and it looks excellent.

Hard to look away from the StG44, such a revolutionary gun, it became the template for the modern Assault Rifle.

MG42 is a sweet sweet thing, I adore it and it's my favorite MG without a seconds doubt.

But the PPSH... Damn it, the PPSH is the winner in my mind. Awesome thing.

A combination of a modified SMLE action, a modified .45 Thompson barrel, Colt .45 magazines and an enormous custom supressor. Accurate, genuinely stealthy, a damnably elegant solution.

A stealth badass.

The 'Schwerer Gustav' railway artillery gun is, as far as I am aware, the largest gun to ever be fired in combat. Hey, I only saw 'gun' in the title. Why are you all so stuck on small arms? Come on, this is the size of ammunition the thing fired, for Pete's sake:

M1911 hands down, over a century of combat service since it was adopted and it's STILL one of the best hand guns for your money. It's still in active service with the Marine Corps and other service branches as well, these pistols are lean, mean bad guy killing machines.

Either that or the M-1 Garand, wonderful weapon, the BAR is fanfreakintastic as well

My would have to be the only WW2 era firearm I've personally fired the M1 Garand. The M1 and an AK74 (semiauto version) are my favorite rifles that I have ever fired.
