Homestuck Volume 5 [http://whatpumpkin.com] hands down. Epic music to suit an epic comic/game hybrid. There is just so much great in that album. Also it's one of the only new albums I have really heard this year. So...yeah.

So far, Omen by Soulfly, their best album ever , The Oracle would come close second, and maybe Korn III: Remember Who You Are (horrible title I know) after it comes out.

...of course the new Avenged Sevenfold album is coming out soon and it doesn't sound as terrible as the last one.

I only have two albums from this year, and I haven't seen them mentioned yet. People will probably disagree, but my two are Bullet for My Valentine's Fever, and Pendulum's Immersion.

Surfer Blood - Astrocoast, and Beach House's Teen Dream are my favourites so far. That being said, I have a large collection of downloaded albums from 2010 I have yet to listen to, so those could change.

"Habits" by Neon Trees. Good band, and they have a special significance to me and my girl. So yeah, their album this year takes the cake so far for me.

The Fear Factory song was damned sweet, as was the In Mourning one.

I must say I've been somewhat deattached from the music world this year, as I've had quite a bit on my mind. That didn't stop me from getting a hold of the new Dark Tranquility album We are the Void, which had a few great pieces. Not the greatest of their albums, but damned good regardless.

And even though the new Slayer album was released in 2009 I still think it deserves an honorable mention for being the heaviest motherfucking album since Reign in Blood.

While I'm a fan of the latest from Beach House, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, and Surfer Blood, Broken Bells is the one that I find myself listening to over and over again. It just has that quality about it where it fits any mood, it's pretty, it's just great!

I've gotta go Gorillaz - Plastic Beach. An exceptionally worthy follow up to Demon Days in every single way...

But, unfortunately, "Sweepstakes" is on it. So I've gotta give the nod to Delphic - Acolyte. Plus, the title track is leading my favourite song of 2010 list at the moment too.

It has to be Jónsi - Go but a lot of good albums have come out this year. Off the top of my head, Vampire Weekend, Crystal Castles and Gorillaz have made very good albums.

For me, it's a toss-up between Gorillaz' "Plastic Beach" and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' "Mojo."

The "Division" album by 10 Years is awesome which came out I believe last year. I have to go hunt their new one "Feeding the Wolves" which will probably be amazing since all their music is rather epic.

The Ghost Who Walks - Karen Elison.

Or perhaps the XX, although that probably came out last year. Tis all good!

Pendulum - Immersion.

Every track on it is a work of art, I could listen to it all day.

"Moments Passed" by Ewan Svensson Trio. It's also the only CD I have from 2010 so no competition there.

For the ones I've discovered this year it's "April" by Sun Kil Moon.
