Well, it's a very tough decision I have on my hands here put I think I'll select...DRAGON BALL Z!

Grossly over-muscled aliens that can turn blond if they yell enough fighting other grossly over-muscled aliens that have any number of powers.

What more could one ask for (other than episodes that do more than cover one page in the anime per episode)?

Gurren Lagann is simply awesome as long as you go with the subbed version (the voice actors are way better).

My favourite anime is Elfen Lied. Closely followed by Hellsing Ultimate, Death Note, Strike Witches, Soul Eater and Higurashi.

Code Geass. Definitely. Best anime I've ever watched.
Zoids was good. I've watched a few of them but I don't remember their titles now..
I recall a Liger Zero though.
And Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny was good too.

They have a whole syndrome for Anime called "DBZ" syndrome for where an anime with lots of progress begins to just do nothing for several episodes before they begin to progress. Almost as bad as Inuyasaha syndrome where it's constant filler.
Then there's Bleach, which has both of those problems.

Not a lot to say as always lately, but why not. Both has been mentioned before but:
(copy pasted, can't remember the complete name) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan. Might as well say why, hmm.. not sure, it's just pretty good, I preferred the first half myself, second one needed more time for me to like it as the first one. and just to be safe (controlled spoiler)
"Some characters" dies, and while I was kinda suspecting "their death" I never expected it to be so soon. Which rarely happen, things are too predictable nowadays
All in all, it's just really good, main characters are mostly awesome, be them good guys or bad guys.

And also:
Trigun. Why? not sure for that one either, I guess old western settings make most of things better in my point of view. It have interesting cast, it takes it's time before the 'real' story begin, but it's worth it.

Again...

Perhaps we should sticky this thread seeing as we get it so often?

Anyway, New Dominion Tank Police and El Hazard for me.

I would say my favourite would be Code Geass R1 and R2, although I like a lot of them and there isn't much between them.

Naruto Shippuden
HOTD
Kuroshitsuji 1+2
Eureka 7
Higurashi no naku koro ni and Kai
Clannad
Hellsing

as well as many others are all high on my list. I usually go for the ones I don't like as I haven't seen many of them yet.
Did you enjoy season 2 of Kuroshitsuji?

I love threads like this: gives me new leads on anime I haven't watched yet!

Also: Toradora and Death Note. Top notch writing.
