My list would also include many older anime movies including Ninja Scroll or Iria: Zeiram. I saw Paprika recently and saw colorful foil tinsel animated for the first time, and the concept visualizations were amazing.
I am a huge critic of the dubbing done on the Miyazaki films that Disney sucked into it's big suck thing. Its one thing if you are a kid who cant read yet...but in Whisper of the Heart..which took place in 1980s Japan....they were talking about cell phones and lap tops...and a 12 year old boy who sounded 12 in the original voice...sounded like a 18 year old.

My favourite ongoing series is Naruto, my favourite short series is Noir.
I found Noir to be extremely boring. Like James Bond.

OT: One Piece? I don't know, really.
I tend not to recommend it to anyone (I still absolutely love it), but you just said it's boring like James Bond, so we can't be friends.

One Piece is excellent, but it really can go on for another 10 years if it wants to. There's just so much to it. Can't be bothered to list the rest, there are too many good titles out there.

They essentially remade Noir in the form of another series now that I think about it, but I can't remember what it was called.

Just everything Ghost in the Shell.
Love Stand Alone Complex, and now I feel like watching it.

Again...

Perhaps we should sticky this thread seeing as we get it so often?

Anyway, New Dominion Tank Police and El Hazard for me.
It's a post dump, you're always going to get these no matter what. What is worrying is the amount of times I've seen "how do you like your eggs in the morning?".

My absolute favourite is Baccano!, because... well, just go watch it.

Runners up are:
- The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, for being absolutely hilarious and having one of the best subtle romances ever
- Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, for being 'epic' in the truest sense of the word
- Black Lagoon, for balancing an insane amount of kinetic energy with just enough character development to make you give a damn
- Welcome to the N.H.K., for being brutally honest and at the same time disarmingly sweet and funny
- Neon Genesis Evangelion (new addition!), now that I've (finally) been able to reconcile the ending to myself.

I'll say Kuroshitsuji, Wolf's Rain, Rurouni Kenshin and Fruits Basket. I love them all. Umineko no naku Koro Ni was awesome too.

Mai-HiME and Pretear. :D

Those are just my top two. I'd be here all day listing 'em if I didn't have errands to run later. XD
