Because it assumes that the only reason anybody plays Guitar Hero is because they can't play guitar, which is on par to with saying no one plays DDR if they know how to dance.
I think there are more people who play guitar hero that can't play guitar then there are people who can play guitar who also play guitar hero to be fair though
There are probably more people who play video games and can't play guitars than people who can play both, too.

My teacher was spouting that you can't trust the internet and that anyone can go and post their own stuff and that if you don't know the person how can you take what they say as being true and i responded: "do you know the guy that writes our text-books then sir"
To which he had no good response lol
Um..

It would be a lot easyer to bullshit somthing on the internet then it would in a textbook.. That is a horrible responce and your teacher is right.
Ah, you've just contradicted yourself, because if his teacher was right and you can't trust anyone on the internet, I can't trust your argument, meaning that I can trust people on the internet, making a massive paradox as it goes back and forth.

Unless your first argument was right, in which case I can't. But if it was wrong, then I also can't trust you.

Mine, for example, is:

Person who's family emigrated "i am British, i was born in Britain"
My father "oh yeah, if a dog's born in a barn does it make it a horse?"

Not heard a decent come-back to that yet
(assuming the second speaker is American)
No, but if a horse were born in America it'd be no more than a dog

Hit that patriot button and watch them go puff.

Ah yes, the "This statement is False" argument. It doesn't go far, though.

I had a paradoxical thought once - but the prerequisite to it's existence, was that it existed, and i've been trying to figure out how i arrived at that conclusion in the first place

My mum: "Get off the computer, you've been staring at that screen all day."
Me: "Actually, you've been staring at that screen *pointing at TV* all day, whereas I have to look down at the keyboard every few seconds."

My favorite come back was delivered to my sister during an argument. I can't rightly remember what the argument was about. However, she was backed into a proverbial corner and slung out the classic "Your mother." I gave her blank expression for a few seconds, then with a straight face replied, "Uh... I'm your sister. We have the SAME mother."

i don't have an arguement. But my counter would be...

my friend: lightsabers are too weak in the force uneashed. they should make stronger ones.
myself: then it would be called lightsabers unleashed not the force. The force is meant to use the force mostly....

Whenever someone brings up the term "African American" and how stupid it is, people call me and others that defend that statement racist, even though the statement is perfectly logical and true.

"African Americans" never came from Africa, period. Yes, nearly every person that claims to be one has an ancestors from Africa, but so what? Most "African Americans" are black people born in America, and therefore AMERICAN, nothing else. White people in America have ancestors that came from Germany, Poland, Ireland, and lots of other European countries, but do we go around saying "I'm French-American"? No, because it's stupid and untrue.

The only time you can add a hyphen in your nationality is went you move from one country to another.

And when people continue to argue, saying that all black people can use that term if they want, I do this.

1) A black person is born in England, who's parents were also born in England. He grows up and moves to America. Is he Afican-American?
2) A white person is born in Africa, he grows up and moves to America. He says he's African-American. Is he wrong?

The answer to both is "Hell no", but I've yet to see a person even attempt to answer the questions. One person even said they had "nothing to do with the subject"...right.

i find the best counter-argument is shouting "NUT!" then running before they can respond
Nut is generally not complex enough I find, always go for something like "appendectomy!" or "Pleisiosaur!" and they'll be confused like anything.

"Didn't Jesus say 'love thy neighbor'? That we're all flawed and no one is better than the other?"
