Well, lets see...in no particular order:

The Doors
The Beatles
Pink Floyd
ACDC
Santana
Iron Maiden
Blue öyster Cult
10cc
Aerosmith
The Blues Brothers
J.J. Cale
Louis Armstrong
Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jonny Lang
Maroon 5
Norah Jones
Queen
Tenacious D

That pretty much wraps it up. As you can see I'm pretty firmly situated in the area of Rock. Some Jazz, Blues and Hard Rock peppered in there.

I have no particular favorite, so I'll just list a couple: Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, ACDC, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Dio, Ozzy, Tenacious D, Motorhead, Metallica, Megadeth, The Eagles, Journey, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters... I should just stop there, I could go on all damn day.

I'd recommend:

  • Bullet For My Valentine
    In Flames
    Metallica
    Bad Religion
    Dimension Zero
    Dark Tranquillity
    NightRage
    Killswitch Engage
    Less Than Jake

There's plenty more, but that's probably enough for now.

Fuck yes Iron Maiden best British metal band ever. With Pantera being America's best.

(How is it possible nobody's said Pantera yet?)

My current favorite band is Sevendust.

Some others that I believe are worth mentioning are...
Shinedown
Disturbed
Korn
Godsmack is probably second on my list.

Edit: I'm really supprised no one mentioned Sevendust, they absolutely rock.

Rise Against... been listening to them forever, even before anyone had ever heard of them...
Heaven Shall Burn... Still don't think that many people have heard of them, but they are an amazing metalcore band from Germany... same with Caliban...

Top 5 would probably be:
Rise Against
Heaven Shall Burn
Caliban
Authority Zero
Strike Anywhere
Woo hoo! Rise Against/Rancid/Billy Talent concert tomorrow night!!! Is Rise Against any good live, I've never seen them, tomorrow will be my first time.

OT: Coheed and Cambria (hence the avatar), Green Day, and Billy Talent.

I have plenty. I mostly switch between They Might Be Giants, Bad Religion, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Loads of Classical authors, Military music, Reel Big Fish, Loads of Oldie authors, Tennesse Ernie Ford and Morphine.

Does it have to be bands? I like a lot of solo Classical Crossover artists, like Sarah Brightman (my favourite), Emma Shapplin, etc.

As for bands... hmm... The Who, possibly. On days I feel like something heavier, nothing can beat Korpiklaani (think Alestorm with a better singer and a more Scandinavian rather than Piratey feel)

(I'd put a youtube tag, but I can't find the Alt Gr button on this machine)

Rodrigo & Gabriela
Black Stone Cherry

Whitesnake
Tommy Emmanuel

That's all that comes to mind right now...

I saw them over 4 years ago and they were awesome... was before the even redid The Unraveling, and before they turned all PETA... Back when the singer's hair was still long... so... dunno if that changed how they preform or anything...
