Speaking as a German who spent a few months in the English Midlands:
- Top Gear
- A great car company hiding in every shed and on every industrial estate
- These mints you often get along with your bill in restaurants. Want those over here!
- Several centuries old city centres. (We don't have many of those thanks to a failed Austrian painter... bastard)
- The ale that actually comes from a local brewery (Most Germans hate on English beer, but I love it)
- The whisky
- The cider
- The girls wearing mini skirts no matter what the weather is like
- The humour
- The "pepperoni feast" pizza from the pizza place right across the street where I lived. I think it's a good thing I never had a look inside the kitchen of that place, but that pizza was the best fast-food pizza I ever had.
