I find they irritate my nipples so I tend not to use them, although they look pretty.

OT: Queuing. I do love to have a good old queue to moan about.

The (non-chavy) people, jolly ho! The best damm men, women and children in all the world, we even import some of the finest from other countries too to keep up our standards, what what! Also, the tea.

Monty Python I guess. Or Top Gear perhaps. Haven't really put much thought into it.

Our military is truely impressive (given the shit equipment and lack of funding), We have some of the best comdians/writers/film makers/actors in the world and the fantastic history we have.

Must not forget Top Gear, but I get the impression some people will feel differently...

LOL. What a legend.

I wonder if he's known at all outside England. Corr he totally should be.

See, this thread is actually teaching me so much xD. I never even knew Stephen Fry was known out in the big wide world!

Top Hats.
As a matter of fact, I'm wearing one now. Not a fake, plastic-y, new one, but a really old one, at least 100 years old. Probably more.
Gotta love a good Top Hat.
I'm going to a friend's Party tomorrow and have been assured that if not wearing my famous hat and pocket-watch combo I will be turned away at the door.

So quintessentially British.

Everything above. I'll add Chocolate to the mix. I don't know what it is, but IMO, it tastes far better than american stuff, I'm even going to go as far as preferring it to the Belgian stuff. Although in all fairness all I ate that week was chicken and chocolate of various shapes and sizesm, so that may have skewed my *ahem* research...

In England, we have the best comedy, we're the worlds best at sarcasm and self deprecation in the name of humour.

Also the fact we're allowed to make jokes about the Welsh.

And the French.

Humour has to be a number one on my list, but also the good old Ulster fry up for breakfast. Yes, I said Ulster fry not english. We're British too you know!

Also our normal natural way of not blowing EVERYTHING on every topic completely out of porportion like some other country's not talking about anyoneinparticularcoughcoughamericacough

Raising my pint to the rest of ye's!

I second the people saying Terry Pratchett, Stephen Fry, Dr Who...

For me most recently though, It'd have to be "Misfits" on E4

Quite a few things pique my interest about living here on the British Isles:

Vimto and other indigenous brands of soft drink and sweets

Traditional chip shops

Integrated train network and bus routes locally and nationally (although could be cheaper and
overcrowded, they help us who can't drive)

Our rich history which varies within each region and county, spanning over two thousand years from the conquest of the Roman Empire and so on afterwards

James Bond, Sherlock Holmes and other literary heroes

It's not a perfect nation but we could be worse off and I'm grateful and happy with what I have here in my small nook of Shropshire
