You stole my one. :*(

I remember a book I read when I was really young about a young female velociraptor (or similar dinosaur) that wound up tangling with an ankylosaur. It kicked her ass. The illustrator wasn't shy about showing a bit of blood.

Somthing similar but a bit more aerodynamic. Scutellosaurus.

I would ride it to the shops.
*Sigh*...Now that's the sort of Infantry Fighting Vehicle we can but dream of.

Also, I just noticed that in my inbox, the ankylosaurus pokes out of the borders of the quote box in an unintended but cool 3D effect. Radical ass-kickng pose.
Turns out I can't ride it to the shops. It only gets to be 4 feet long and 46cm high. :(

In my inbox ankylosaurus was still trying to ass-kick his way out of the confines of his spoiler box.

It could still make a keen perimeter guard with a little badge and headlamp.

Pssst...[*img height=1000] :3

Ducky... because she died too soon...

Other than that, I gotta pay respects to the king/queen of them all!

It might be too many drinks, but that awesome thing looks like a cross between a phoenix and a harpy.

I know, its something I'd not want to fuck with that's for sure. One badass dinobird, and one of the reasons I found it much more palatable to think that dinosaurs had feathers... The feathering does not detract from the awesomeness. I kinda wish these guys didn't die out or at least had an evolutionary descendant analog. I've been a dino-fan since I was a wee one, possibly in part thanks to the Dinobots from Transformers (Grimlock smart dino!)

Upon reading this thread title, I thought I was going to have to come in here and lambast you all for focusing exclusively on the predator side of the equation; for neglecting the living tank that was the ankylosaurus; the peak of the Cretaceous biological arms race that went toe-to-toe with the mighty T-rex and (sometimes) came out on top. Then I find four of you have mentioned it before me. You do me proud, Escapists. And you do the ankylosaurus proud, too.

But I've gotta go with ankylosaurus. armour all the way.
No, no no! Armor most of the way. Then a giant club attached to the body by a tail framed by spiked plates, forming a biological chainsaw. This was a dinosaur that did not fuck around.

What is it with us liking them when we were kids? I mean it still continue to this day (as in any kids love a dinosaur). Is it we liked a creature we will never see in person?
When we were kids? We were supposed to stop liking them?

I'm sticking with my story.

I'm still shocked at the notion we have to grow up.

Aww man, it definitely has to go to the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

I've admired this awesome beast for as long as I can remember and seeing it in the movie only cemented my admiration for the king or carnivores.

In terms of an herbivore, this guy has definitely caught my eye.

The Therizinosaurus, ladies and gentlemen!

Thanks to ARK: Survival Evolved I'm rediscovering my love for dinosaurs, and I'm taming dinosaurs left and right. I used to love T-Rex above all, but the Dilophosaurs have won me over thanks to that game.

Who's my little killing machine? You are! You are!

Somewhere A Paleontologist Is Crying, seriously the first two are extremely outdated and the third one has one of the worst slapped on feathers I have ever seen and is that the thrill? But I don't want to get nitpicky.

OT: anyway mine has to be the good old Triceratops.

When my sister was younger, my dad bought her 4 really cool dinosaur toys in Germany, and since then she has been obsessed with dinosaurs. We used to play with them all the time. Even though she later had a huge collection, she loved those original four the most and she assigned each one to a family member. She was the Allosaurus, dad was the Triceratops and mom was the Brachiosaurus. And I? I was this:
And that's why it's my favourite.

I was a kid in the 90's...a boy in the 90's...a boy who watched Power Rangers in the 90's and a boy who remembered the climax of Jurassic Park in the 90's. So of course my number 1 favorite dinosaur as a kid was the Tyrannosaurus Rex. I'm not even gonna apologize for it; T-Rex is freakin' rad. The thing is, I've grown up a bunch and so have my tastes in prehistoric animals. So at the moment my favorite dino happens to be Liopleurodon and other such sea Dinosaurs;

I also have a huge appreciation and fondness for living fossils like Sharks and Alligators but they're just not Liopleurodon.

Is it made of nightmares?

I am a lifelong lover of dinosaurs, who's favorite has probably changed a few times.
