Definitely Batman Arkham Asylum.

Probably Prototype or Guitar Hero 5... the thing is, we've got a couple of months left to go in 2009 and we've still got Brutal Legend, Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Assassin's Creed 2, and many more coming out. I'll get back to you by the end of the year.

So far my game of the year is Empire: Total War, but that speaks more to this year's weak crop of games than to Empire's quality. A game that is merely "very good" should not be granted such accolades.

Yeah just came out last Tuesday. I've beaten it already, though. It's honestly the best Guitar Hero yet. It's toned everything down to minimal (which I like because it's less clutter) except for the songs. It's really great.

Arkham Asylum. Good graphics, great gameplay, excellent story and voice acting and tons of little details/extras for comic enthusiasts such as myself.

Prototype or Batman: Arkham Asylum, although my favorite game I played this year is Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, which came out a couple years ago.

For now I would have to say Arkham Asylum...but I imagine by the end of the year it will be Assassin's Creed 2.

Red Faction Guerilla, it isn't out yet for PC but I'm gonna assume it's awsome. =P

Also Prototype was nice, theres something inside of my heart for absorbing a old lady and punching a gangster-esk person into a car. followed by blowing up the car.
