Marvel vs Capcom 2 on XBLA. Take the greatest fighting game ever made, enhance the graphics somewhat, and give it almost perfectly lag-free online play. That, my friends, is a recipe for success.

Definitely Batman Arkham Asylum.

I don't get why everyone loves this game, I felt the only thing to save it from being a mediocre title was the best writing in a game in years. The same with the acting.

Shadow Complex. First game in a long time that had action, stealth, platforming, and a simple plot that got to the point without feeling transparent. It's also the first game I've played in a long time that I felt like playing again for the simple reason of just playing it again.

I already collected all the items, twice, my level is some 30+, and I played it through on insane which I dont typically do if the game wasn't worth it on Normal. I just simply wanted to play it again.

So far my game of the year is Empire: Total War, but that speaks more to this year's weak crop of games than to Empire's quality. A game that is merely "very good" should not be granted such accolades.

ETW had far too many bugs, and I stopped playing a week or 2 after buying it.
Im sure I will have some drive to go back sooner or later, but the bugs are just too blatant.

The only game I'm even looking forward to is MW2.
I might give ODST a chance, but not much else.
Other than that, it's all the same bullshit we get every year, just with new paint jobs.
