Your favourite soundtrack

So after having watched Evangelion 3.0 (And my god was it edgy and darker than 1.0 and 2.0 and also goes off the rails) I eventually got around to listening to the complete soundtrack and found the music to be very compelling and full of soul to the point where I ended up listening to most of the OST a good few times during the past few days (Apart from other music as I'm quite diverse and listen to a lot of various types).

I'm also a huge sucker for classical music like Beethoven's symphony no.9.

So I was wanting to ask you fellow Escapists what is your favourite soundtrack?.

The soundtrack to Conan the Barbarian ('82) would be my favourite. So powerful, majestic and ancient sounding.

Now, Star Wars and Back to the Future are 1 and 1A for me, but the Japanese scenes in Pearl Harbor were awesome, the 007 movies have always had great scores, an the Twister OST either made the movie or made it much better.

Not only am I a big fan of Queen but that film is awesome.

while I find "Zimmer" style big orchastral soundtracks nice and all once you hear one rousing orchastral peice they get a bit...predictable (I do however love the dark knights OST)

thats why I like taratino films and enniomorricone...recently watched Django unchained which had a great soundtrack

I really like the Batman Begins soundtrack, but mostly because of the way they "hide" the real Batman in one of the last pieces to be more fully presented in The Dark Knight.

And because I got the PC port recently, am really digging the Ace Combat: Assault Horizon soundtrack. I mean the other games had some really good songs too, but they use the best orchestral pieces for trailers, cutscenes, and a couple big moments, and the rest is punctuated by unfitting (in my opinion anyway) electronic stuff. Assault Horizon is at least consistent throughout.

My personal favorites are either The Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean. They both do epic quite well.

Bastion: Just everything, the entire soundtrack is just scary good.

I'll say Kingdom Hearts (all of them) whether it's remixes of Disney songs or original stuff its always great.
Others: Redline (fucking amazing and fits perfectly with the movie), and i recently watched all of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on netflix and it had some cool songs that were basically a blast from the past.
