The old British comedy series "Fawlty Towers" and the movie "Brazil" and the musician Mike Patton (He was in about six bands I think and they're all good).

EDIT: Clip from Fawlty Towers.

Fawlty Towers = win.
One of my favorite games is a not-so-well known pc game called Evil Genius(very short mention in Yahtzee's Overlord 2 review). For music, I like "Butthole Surfers" and Voltaire. For TV shows, the British comedies "Blackadder" and "A Bit of (Stephen) Fry and (Hugh) Laurie." For movies, I liked Spy Hard, the Naked Gun trilogy, and, above all else, Airplane (all three with Leslie Neilson)

See the chick in my avatar? She's from Legend of Dragoon. Everyone's played or at least heard of LoD, but no one seems to remember the original white silver dragoon.

Also, no one's heard of the Lets Players LateBlt, Hercrabbiness, nor Malefact, dispite the fact that they do good, detailed work.

I love a band named the Fratellis which apparently no ones ever heard of and I love a game called heroclix which no one has ever played.
Hey! I've played Heroclix. The board game type thing right?
That game is fun.

And hmmm.... nothing that I can think of right now.

Whataburger is a fast food chain down here in Texas, and it's simply amazing. Then I realized it's only in Texas and I knew the rest of the planet was being screwed.
And Texas isn't by their governor?
I kid, I kid.

Even though they did the Malcom in the Middle theme, They Might Be Giants doesn't seem to have that big of a fandom.
Fine, being in two Tiny Toons Adventures shorts kills off claims to obscurity, but most people I know don't know who they are.
I first heard of They Might be Giants from their work with Homestarrunner; they are fantastic.

Nice to see some frosting-covered baked goods agree with me.

I heard of them when I was quite young because my dad was a fan of them. I was quite surprised and pleased when I saw two of their songs on Tiny Toons Adventures, and they are the only band who I do the whole "true fan" thing with. Then again, I don't have a lot of bands I care about.

Life and Level. It is...Kenny vs. Spenny, but with more videogames. It stars Johnny, an assuming Asian guy, and Josh, an obnoxious caucasian. They compete in various videogame-related challenges, such as playing Call of Duty while wearing shock collars...or playing Punch-Out!! while actual boxers take swings at them. When the winner is decided, the loser is humiliated. Punishments have include eating a cactus, snorting urine, and other such things. It's semi-popular on Youtube, but not popular enough. They used to update every two weeks, but I believe they're on a brief hiatus for now. The next episode will be on September 20th, but they already have twelve episodes mode. Each one lasts about 5-10 minutes.

I'd also like to bring up the band Presidents of the United States of America. They are fantastic, and not too many people seem to know of them.

I heard of that band. I haven't heard much but what I did hear was pretty good. I'm very fond of the song "We're not going to make it".

I heard of them but, like I said with cakes, not much. The songs I heard make me feel good and that's not because I ate a bunch of ribs a few hours ago :).

OT: I seem to be the only one out of few that is aware of Homestar Runner's existence. Great site with little acknowledgment.
I also seem to be the only one who knows this song.
That's probably a good thing, though :p.

Most of the stuff I like is pretty much unheard-off

Nancarrow, experimental lab music programmed in pianola

John Barth, the greatest mythologist of the 20th century, his novel, the massive Gilles Goat Boy actually manages to do something new, original and intellectually stimulating with the Campbellian archetype

Gÿorgy Ligeti's Le Grand Macabre, the anti-anti opera, starring an avatar of death, a greek chorus composed by car horns and a phantom city

The Cinema Snob at www.thecinemasnob.com, the guy rocks

An Argentinian band named Babasonicos, Ian Brown worked with them!

Cremaster, one of the best experimental films to ever grace the screen

Amongs many others ^_^
