*hangs head in shame*

Mine was the Spice Girls.

Shut up. I was about eight years old at the time. *Everyone* listened to the Spice Girls then.

And for the record, I haven't listened to it in years and years and years. I don't even own it any more.

Got Blur's Parklife when I was 9. I still listen to 'To The End' pretty regularly. Was only a few weeks back I think I listened to it the whole way through again, but I don't listen to it that often.

My musical taste has developed further, but I still enjoy Blur and all the other Britpop bands of that era.

Hmmm, let me think....
I'm pretty sure it was Revolver By The Beatles. I still own the album, though on CD now, not cassette. I still love The Beatles.

August and Everything After by Counting Crows in 1993

I still like the album, but not really much else they have made. Genre really doesn't matter because I usually can find something I enjoy no matter the style.

Mine was "Somewhere in Time" by Maiden. Got the Vinyl the same year it came out (1986 I think it was). My cousin still has it, AND IT STILL PLAYS... PERFECTLY...

I think it was "The black album" by Jay-z I still listen to it sometimes. It is a good album from one of the few good hip-hop artists who can be marketable.

Didn't see this. I share the shame as well.

I'm so ashamed to say this: I'm really not 100% sure but what I do know is that it was a backstreet boys album. Don't judge me, I was four. And yes, my taste has changed.

What was the first album you ever brought and when did you last listen to it? Also do you like that band/genre or have your tastes changed since?

For me it was Awake my dream theater probably listened to it a few weeks ago. I still like the band and listen to lots of other prog metal.
Holy crap that was exactly what I got as my first album, although I had listened to Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence first, and I also listened to awake about week ago.
I sense conspiracy brewing...
