X-Men (1991) #62

I'd run out of X-Men Cartoons to watch and saw this at the newsagents. I didn't understand it at all. Of all the characters in that issue I knew two, it was the end of a storyline I didn't know and it confused me. So I bought every X-Men comic I could afford from then on in order to understand.

My collection of Comics is now 4000+ and i only have 19 uncanny X-<en issues to get to have the whole series. I own most of the other X - series from the 80's and 90's...

Anyone else feel like Marvel lost the plot in the last decade? Some great stories yeah but mainly baaaaaaad ones!

First comic i read was either Watchmen or the Transformers Headmaster omnibus,
both came out, and back then grocery shops still sold comics here in the Netherlands.
My dad ended up buying the TF one for me, since Watchmen had a 16 yr age marking on it.

And at the time....it was....what.1988?
Yeah, so i was like....4 years old when i read Watchmen.
Prolly did'nt get the story back then, just loved the deluxe euro style album versions and the awesome covers.

Phantom #10 was the very first comic I read when I was a little tyke. My grandpa and dad collected phantom comics when my dad a kid. I got to read a lot of old Mad Magazines (from the 70s when it was actually funny!) and Action Man comics (the UK's pre-cursor to the USA's G.I. Joe).

First comics I bought for myself were UK Transformers #1, Marvel Transformers #1 and Crystar & The Crystal Warriors #1 (A brutally violent and sexually suggestive comic, nothing like the cheesy kid's cartoon version. If ya can find old copies or scan anywhere, it's still a good read).

My first comic ever? It was a Simpsons comic in like 2003. I started by reading books with a bunch of comics in them.
The one that got me back into comics as a hobby? Batman: The Long Halloween. Great Story.
First non-tbp comic I got? Green Lantern (new one) 42. I normally just waited for the tpb to come out, but I made an exception for that event. I ended up almost regretting it, because that event was very hard on my wallet.
