My first concert was at the start of this year

Tim Minchin VS The West Australian Symphony Orchestra

It was awesome
You lucky son of a *****.

OT: The closest thing I've come to attending a concert is when I went to a performance of Drum Tao. That was so awesome. All these insanely athletic people, drumming complex patterns in sync... I could feel it in my whole body. Bought the DVD, but it's just not the same.

My parents started dragging me to classical music performances when I was young and didn't like classical yet. Don't really remember any of them.

As for first concert I chose to go to, that would be The Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-La-La Band with my brother and a friend of his. Was about a month after I moved to Holland.

My first concert was in December last year, I went to see Gallows with my dad and one of his friends.

My dad spent most of his time in the "Ring of Death" pushing the idiots who went in and wanted to get back out into the middle of it again.

His friend kept wanting to buy me a new pint every 2 minutes... Though I did not get drunk enough to want to participate in the "Ring of Death" or even the "Wall of Death"...

It was pretty awesome.

The first concert that I attended (that wasn't free, open or school/youth group related) was AC/DC last year I believe (I'll admit, I'm a bit of a late bloomer). Pure awesome, they were.

Latitude, and it was fucking awesome.

My first concert was Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin, with Paramore opening. It was pretty badass for my first concert.

When I was 16 or so. It was a protest concert gathering all of the rock bands from my country. It was awesome. We screamed until our throats were raw, jumped, drank, got into a moshpit. I loved it.

My first concert was in 2007. The Black Keys at the Hi-Fi bar in melbourne. It was back when you could still smoke in clubs, and nearly everyone was smoking joints. It was by far the loudest show I have ever been at. I came out of that show half stoned and unable to hear anything in my left ear for three days afterwards. It was beyond awesome. Also, I found a bootleg torrent of that show a week or so afterwards, so I still listen to it from time to time.

My first big concert was when I was about ten and I went to see the West Australian Symphony Orchestra at the Perth Concert Hall. It was amazing, went for about three hours, and led to my learning to play the trumpet. My interest in classical music has stayed with me, and at this late age I'm also planning on taking up the cello, probably (due to one thing and another) starting in a couple of months.

If you mean my first rock/pop concert... That probably would've been when I was in my late teens and I saw The Cure. Again, was amazing, but TBH I preferred the orchestra.

Mine was Dragonforce for their Inhuman Rampage tour with Firewind as support act back in 2006. But we went to see it from the balcony where we could indulge in beer drinking and goign mental with having room. But honestly that was a mistake. I just didn't know how awesome it was on the floor. I did find out how awesome it was too sing along to power metal and to this day I get high on an oxygen shortage due to singing to loudly XD

First concert I went to by myself was Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour on their dual tour, also in 2010, on Halloween at the Hammersmith Apollo, London

Damn, the 90's were kickass!

The first concert I ever attended was around Christmas 1995, when my half-brother took me to see one of the very first gigs ever played by Rammstein. It was glorious.
I was only 9 years old back then, but my brother knew the right people, so getting me in and finding a relatively safe (and elevated) spot for me to stand wasn't a problem. He always was a metalhead, and seeing my initial musical interest veering towards the likes of Michael Jackson and Britney Spears compelled him to take action and get me on the right track. :)

The first concert I actually visited of my own volition was back in 2004, when the Bloodhound Gang played a gig in a small club in Frankfurt... and what fun it was! The supporting band was already hilarious (a punkrock combo from Tokyo, I believe; called themselves "Electric Eel Shock"), and the main act was nothing short of spectacular. I remember during the second song they played, a blonde hottie was crowd-surfing topless; at Jimmy Pop's instigation the crowd carried her to the stage, where she proceeded to give him an improvised lapdance over the course of the next track.
After the gig my two pals and I stuck around until virtually everyone was gone, and just when the club people were about to show us out, Jimmy plopped himself down next to us at the bar, made a sweeping gesture with his hand encompassing the right half of the bar and told the barkeep, "Put that half of your liquor on our tab, will ya?" Then the other guys joined us and the partying began in earnest, and it only got better in the tour bus (with the 8 hot little groupies they'd also invited to stay ;) ).
Sex, schnapps and rock'n'roll - nothing better, I tell you. ^^

I've never been a concert person. I don't like crowds.

The first and only concert I ever attended was for John Anderson (the guy who did the song "Seminole Wind") at Cypress Gardens back in, I think, 2007 or 2008. I wasn't really interested, but a relative (who was into country music and was a huge fan of his) wanted to go, so I kind of had to.

It was sad, really. It was way too fucking loud. People were leaving. I really felt bad for him. :-/
