I was starting to feel old with people talking about stuff on the PS2 and Xbox, while I was thinking of old analog joysticks. In terms of on a console with what people consider analog sticks these days, Mario 64, but the broader concept of analog sticks in general that includes joysticks...absolutely no idea. Something long enough ago that I can't remember, especially since it wasn't even mine.Jamash said:Dual analogue sticks or an analogue stick?
The first game I played with a Dual Analogue control pad would be something on the PS1, lets say Syphon Filter for the sake of argument.
However, the first game I played using an analogue joystick was probably FA/18 Interceptor on my Amiga... I remember back in the day there was a big distinction between analogue and micro-switch joysticks. Analogue joysticks were generally considered to be far superior, but were a lot more expensive. I had to save up and combine a Christmas present to get my first analogue joystick, a Gravis if I recall correctly.
i think it was that.Redlin5 said:I remember the first game I ever played using an analog stick was that Star Wars Podracing game for the N64. It was such a new and exciting experience as all my prior game history up to that point had been on the SNES.
I had that! Not the first though, I think the first with analog sticks was Rayman...Hubilub said:Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone on the PS1.
That game was hardcore man!
