Graphics were mind-blowing black and white 2D pixels. The game I first played seriously would be Commander Keene, with his pogo stick, broken spaceship and wacky laser action. But the game that first had me playing for hours on end, hooked like a crack-enthusiast, was Mario Kart on N64. Sure I'd played NES, SNES, Saturn, Game Gear, Mega Drive and various insane or brilliant PC games, but nothing came close to booting that beauty up in our lounge for the first time. Good times...
