catch a caterpie,train it to lvl 10 it becomes butterfree(i think) and learns confusion.

Squirtle in Blue.

Friggin Blastoise is the reason I got into pokemon
1. Turtles are my favorite animals.
2. Blue is my favorite color.
3. Water is my favorite element.

Blastoise easily beat the crap out of the other starters. Hydro Pump killed Charizard and Ice Beam ko'ed Venusaur.

Sure venusaur had the type advantage but was as slow, if not slower than Blastoise and relied on sleep powder or stun spore to deal with Blastoise. But what did Charizard have that could have dealt with Blastoise?

While powerful moves, they can't match the type advantage blastoise would have on 'em. Hyper Beam's 150 would do a lot of damage, but it would best be a ohko, else Hydro pump's 2x 120 power would take it out, even if it survived the first hit only to be hit again while resting.

Squirtle from Pokemon blue. I now consistently use Bulbasaur and Chikorita because all you need is a flying pokemon (o look a pidgey) and you have 90% of the game's enemies covered.

Charmander, Pokemon Red.
I didn't really know much about the pokemon universe at the time, having only seen the anime a few times beforehand, but when I looked inside each Pokemon and saw that one of them was a super cute fire breathing lizard, it was love at first sight.

I liked it less and less when it evolved though :<

It went from awesome cute fire dragon to kinda grumpy looking over-the-top-badass fire dragon to a not cute at all but incredibly badass looking fire dragon.

first pokemon? well here it goes in order of when i got the games.

Pikachu: yellow... omg i loved that game, nearly finished it until my cousin saved over it!!! ill never forgive him -_- (oooo and btw pikachu owns all!)

Bulbasaur on Pokemon red (cause he is the shnizle)

Totodile on Pokemon silver, completed the new area, then went to the area in Pokemon yellow and the others and it got stolen =(

Cyndiquil on Pokemon gold but just wasnt the same without lugia =(
