I took charmander, but soon found out that Misty was too hard for me (I was very young). So switched to Bulbasaur which I loved. Venasaur is my favorite pokemon by far now.

Bulbasaur in Blue cause all my friends had picked Squirtle and I wanted to beat them. And I did.

Bulbasaur, because, because I knew the first 4 gym's Bulbasaur would be awesome. Rock, Water, Electric then Grass? Even after that I had to go through psychic and earth. the only problem Bulbasaur would have had been Fire gym.

j/k It was probably Charmander because Charmizard just looks so kick ass.

Or was it Squirtle, because Squirtle was just so hilarious on the show.

I can tell you for certain that the second pokemon was a pidgey.

I playing Pokemon with my sister though, and she started with Bulbasaur.

My first game to call my own was Yellow, so I suppose my first Pokémon to call my own was Pikachu.
