The beginning of Wish You Were Here, first solo I ever learned too. From there it was all down hill, started learning stuff like The Dead Boys and The Misfits. Very easy stuff, but I like taking the progressions and finding new ways of playing them, rather than learning more complicated songs by rote. I'm trying to think of what my first good bass line would have been, maybe "Give It Away" by the Chili Peppers. Not so much challenge in learning the notes as it was about nailing the style, but I learned bass first which is why I got into those punk songs I guess.Generator said:Oh, really? That's cool. And you're a Pink Floyd fan, too, huh? What song by them did you learn to play?300lb. Samoan said:Dude, me too! Next thing I learned after Pink Floyd! I still play that song, it's beautiful and very satisfying to play.Generator said:The first song I could play the whole way through on guitar and sing the words to at the same time is probably Everlong.
Brother still does that, I can't believe they force you to pay for a piece o' shit recorder that they now you'll break the minute you have a chance to.Artemis923 said:Wow, that's going back a looong way.Bored Tomatoe said:Hot cross buns. On the recorder. *****.
