I have a few but my main one is Super Smash Brothers Melee, been playing since it came out and I recently just restarted it so I can earn all the achievements all over again. Also, I challenge anyone at it any time. I'm not as good as those crazy tourny players but I know some moves.

The NES Megaman games. I've lost count of how many times I've played them within the past years. They will always be special to me

A LOT of Nintendo games:
Pretty much all of the Zelda games, but especially Ocarina of Time (Majora's Mask gets a close second). I think I've played through OoT over 30 times now (with 100% completion)!
Every major Pokemon game so far. (I actually got all 151 in the original Red Version. Have tried, and failed, to catch 'em all in every game since.)
The main Mario games, plus Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. (I practically grew up on Mario!)
Star Fox 64
and the Donkey Kong games (except for that stupid bongo game, that one can go fuck itself).

Also, every Valve game, every Halo game (so far), the Assassin's Creed series, and the three Devil May Cry games (I'll never understand why they skipped a number).

Point and Click adventure games. I don't care if I pretty much have to go to the interwebs and look to the flash artists lately, it's a genre that I will always love, with all their fun puzzles, questionable logic and usually unique and hilarious backstories involved in them.

Zelda. I gave up on the handheld games though. That was a major bummer for me since the Zelda game I started with was Link's Awakening, but I can't do those DS games. I even went as far as to ignore the existence of Majora's Mask just to continue my love of Link.

If I'm talking current generation, which I am since my PS3 is all that's plugged in right now, then Grand Theft Auto IV, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Fallout 3 or New Vegas.

San Andreas and Hitman: Blood Money filled those slots last gen. Tomb Raider II and Gran Turismo the generation before that.

New Vegas hasn't failed me yet.
But my absolute best game? Dead Rising 2. Yes, it's time limits are very stifling at times. Yes, it's load times can get grating. Yes, some of the survivors are almost impossible to find without a guide. But i still LOVE IT, fixed many of the things I hated from the first one. It'll always be a fun game to me. :D

Silent Hill and anything after The Room is embarrassing and rather terrible.

SH3 is my comfort game that I will play constantly, that and SH2.

Portal series, tell me they aren't the greatest shit valve has ever made.... NO HALF LIFE DOESN'T COUNT!
Any GTA game. Personally san andreas is my favorite, my mini game in the game was to jump from a plane, open parachute and land on a person, young guys / chicks you get 100 points, old people you get 500 points, and cars gets you 50 points. You only get 3 jumps.
Terraria and Minecraft, no matter what anyone says, Terraria is not a rip off of minecraft, first difference is completely cosmetic, Terraria is 2d, minecraft is 3d. Second, Terraria is a fully released game. Third, probably last one, terraria is combat based. And don't tell me Minecraft didn't rip something along the line, so go frada off. Oh, and Notch linked on twitter Terraria's home page, so he isn't bitter towards it, why should you be?

Final Fantasy Tactics.

This is the game I can always come back to. It's not my favourite and it's not the best, but it definitely is "my" game.

The franchise did fall from grace, the fourth sequel totally ruined it, no movie was made, but I still play it. I have fun playing it, and will continue playing it over and over again -

Command & Conquer.

Also,

Age of Empires 2.
Robotron 2084.

And, the franchise did fall from grace (but is slowly coming back), the sequel got cancelled which ruined it, a number of movies were made - Star Wars Battlefront I & II.

Pretty much any Nintendo franchise. Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pokemon. Nintendo was what I started with, and up until the PS2/GC Age it was all I had. I've wanted a Wii for the longest time not really because of any game that's on it, but because it would be the perfect current-gen console to finally go back and play everything on GC I never got the chance to.

Non-Nintendos I can think of would be Megaman, Suikoden, Okami, Soul Reaver/Legacy of Kain (This series would probably be the ONLY movie-based-on-a-game that I would willingly pay to see, ON OPENING NIGHT no less).

And, as loathe as I am to admit it, WoW...Not Blizzard, but WoW. The only Blizzard product I had ever played before WoW was Diablo 2, and quite honestly...it was a lot of fun the first time through, but once I opened up the Pandora's Box that is Multiplayer, it became such a massive grindfest that I lost interest, and the discs are still piling up dust in my closet to this day.

But WoW, on the other hand, is like being in love with an abusive BF/GF. You know they're the worst possible thing for you, but you just can't stay away. I've "quit" the game three times already over almost as many years, yet I still find myself constantly keeping up on patch updates, hoping for the day when things will finally stop being such shit.
