But the thing is, not all games have to play to our base instincts, just like not all movies have explosions, bare breasts, and car jumps. And even if a movie has explosions, bare breasts, and car jumps, that doesn't preclude it from having a deeper meaning. The same applies to video games and all other mediums of art.
