All of my feeling about video games seem unpopular here.

Except maybe that I don't much care for the gameplay in MMORPGs. Though I think unlike most users here, I actually play them, but I just trash talk them elsewhere because the genre has so many flaws.
YOU SEE THIS? THIS IS WHY I KEEP GETTING SUCKERED INTO PLAYING MMORPGS. I CAN'T POSSIBLY REMEMBER HOW BORING GRINDING IS WHEN WATCHING SOMETHING AS ADORABLE AS THIS. HOW CAN YOU SAY NO TO THIS? ALL VIDEO GAMES SHOULD BE THIS ADORABLE. MY HEART HNNNNNNNNNG.

Asia, please take over the video game market permanently. Japan, Korea, China, all of you. Because Westerner developers don't seem to enjoy the finer things life. Like adorable dancing singing cats. This makes me happy. I need more of this in my life. I need this in my life every hour of every day.

Oh yeah, that's why my opinions are unpopular. Most people here seem to like PC gaming, wRPGs, First Person Shooters(especially Valve) and... I don't. It's not a guilty pleasure, either. I like what I like. My tastes are just more in line I think with the average Siliconera user or something than here. Actually, I don't think I've been to a video game website where my tastes are as uncommon or unpopular as here. I hate to be saying that sort of thing again, but that's what the thread is about.

Oh yeah, another one of my opinions that is unpopular here. I love Nintendo. Aside from their atrocious localization policies, Nintendo is still super-awesome and I love my Wii. Haven't met too many other people like that around here. I didn't even see but like, two Skyward Sword discussions. Even though it sold millions of copies and was one of the best selling and best rated of this year. Oh yeah, another unpopular opinion I have around here. I don't Yahtzee. I actually just singed up here to say that losing Extra Credits was lame. For some bizarre reason I ended up sticking around.

Let's see, I don't have video gaming guilty pleasures, but I do like The Idolm@ster.

... now excuse me. I need to go back to watching adorable dancing singing Blade & Soul cats for the rest of my life until I die.

Uh... I didn't think GTA IV and the Episodes were the 'downfall of the series', and in fact love them to pieces. I think The Lost and Damned may be just about my favourite GTA ever.

Other than that, I don't know.

I can't get into Deus Ex. I guess that's pretty unpopular as far as opinions go. Oh, Halo was just alright, not the be all and end all of FPS games.

The little bit of Duke Nukem Forever that I actually played was quite enjoyable?

I'm not sure, I don't really keep up with other people's opinions.

Half Life 2 was boring.
Majora's Mask was the best Zelda.
Morrowind is still the best ES game to come out to date.
Battlefield 2142 is my favourite BF game. End of (probable) cliche unpopular opinions.

I've bought every COD, despite the fact that the newer games multiplayer aspects piss me off no end because they're never as good as MW1. I also fully support that the campaigns are still fucking awesome. It's my guilty pleasure. I will probably buy Black Ops 2.

I don't have a guilty pleasure. I just play what is fun

my unpopular opinion is that Left4Dead, Dead rising, Gears of War, and many, many other major games all suck out loud

Not many guilty pleasures- I don't tend to spend my money on games that are popularly considered bad. That said I do have several EXTREMLY unpopular opinions.

- The PC is the worst gaming platform
- Mass Effect 3 was an amazing conclusion to one of the greatest series in gaming history
- Digital distribution is a good alternative to brick and mortar, but must never replace it
- Fallout 1 is badly designed
- Last year's Game of the Year was (or should have been) Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
- Team Fortress 2 should have stopped updating years ago
- Oblivion was crap

There, that's the worst of it. Please don't hit me.

I have one I am amazed the first Mass Effect got a sequel. The game play was poor, the story was predictable, I only liked half of the companions and only one of them I found to be as good as people made some of them out to be. That being said the second one was much better the story consisted of more then get 4 keys to unlock the ending, the companions where MUCH better, and the combat worked. The third one faulted a bit in the story, kai leng was a terrible character, and it was mostly get 4 keys to win but it didn't build up like that. But I do feel it was the strongest in the series. Companion wise in the third one if I compared the third one to the first one both the new guys would be better then anyone form the first one.

I will say it was a good setting and it set up for two games that I did like a lot. But it wasn't' that good in and of itself.

guilty pleasure huh? that'd be Mechwarrior/assault games....nothing says "I've come to destroy" like a 100 ton atlas knocking on your door >) ( still play them from time to time)

unpopular opinion? I have two, 1. World of Tank devs are incompetent and need to go back to college, 2. Too human was a decent game except for the poor excution and horribad control scheme but still deserves a sequel (oops, that's three)

Remember the ending for ME3? I liked it. I had next to no problem with it (Aside from me wanting more epic space battles). I've never liked a single Sonic game. I thought Saint's Row is an average game series, and GTA is better. I prefer playing a game for entertainment over any kind of challenge (I.E. There is no such thing as a too easy game to me). I liked the single player in the CoD MW games, but preferred the ones made by Treyarch. I thought Portal 1 was cool, but got tired of 2 about midway through, and still don't really like it. I fucking hate Half-Life 2. With a passion. I thought DooM 3 was both scary and awesome. I have no problem with piracy, and think those that think it's killing the gaming (Music/movie) industry are idiots, since ME3 keeps crashing on PC (When Origin keeps crashing) uintil I hack the game. I agree mostly with what most developers and publishers have said, and think a large portion (Not all, not most, but a large portion) of gamers are naive, arrogant and fuckwads. I think the main characters in Gears of War have a more realistic friendship than any other game I've ever played.

There are more, but I can't think of any at the time. Let's just say, I am more or less the bane of gamers. And you know what? There are a celestial amounts of shits I don't give. Because fuck you, Internet.

I like the wii.
I don't understand why people complain about the motion controls, I never had any trouble with them after an hour or so into the game.
Also I think the later Zelda games are the best ones Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword freakin' kick ass!

My unpopular opinions include: I hate JRPGs, I liked KOTOR's and Dragon Age's (also NWN's, if you count the expansions, MOTB was just so good) sequels more than the first ones and I really like Halo.
Guilty pleasures? Maybe Halo and Bulletstorm.

Guilty Pleasure: Trading Card Games. Just as awesome as a video game while making you feel proud of being a little nerdy.

Unpopular oppinion: In my opinion, both The Legend of Zelda and Metroid-series sucks. I can never see myself liking any of those series. I hate them so much that the extreme hatred can be found in the very center of both my soul and my heart.

Guilty Pleasure -- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. I've beaten it 3 times and still playing it.

Unpopular opinion -- love 40k pc games, and can't wait for moar.
How is Space Marine a guilty pleasure? The game has an active multiplayer community and was pretty well received.

Likewise, Dawn of War is considered one of the best RTS games ever made, and the older 40k games are mostly fondly remembered classics, so not sure about the unpopular opinion either.

I don't mean to nitpick. I'm just a giant 40k nerd (been playing for close to 20 years) and that is not the impression I get at all.
Well I'm glad I'm not alone (never thought I was; I just assumed it was a very small club).

I hope THQ can get enough funds to make more 40k titles.

I...You know, I was going to try to mention positive unpopular opinions, seeing as I'm full of negative ones and that seems too easy. But I can't think of any!

I hate Bethesda, I can't stand their soulless shells they call RPG's.
Fuck Diablo 3 and the idiots who buy into that scam. This is why we can't have nice things, assholes.
Bioware's an undead corpse. Forget about them.
Kickstarting games may seem awesome, and Jebus knows there's some awesome stuff being made possible, but it won't save this sorry state of gaming, and it will die the moment something goes wrong (like a developer failing to deliver properly, or at all)

I guess these are all pretty unpopular, but they're so gloomy.

What am I supposed to say?
"Hey I think EA and Activision are alright!"
"This whole DRM thing is really going to make things better for us gamers!"
"One day I'll meet a girl at the bar who'll show me her breasts when she hears about my gamerscore"
"Originality and innovation scare me. I want to play what I already know! Again and again and again! Cover based shooter? Nipples are hard!"

It just doesn't work.

Guilty pleasure: None, actually. I like the games I like for perfectly valid reasons. And I'm an elitist snob.
