I got...

265!

...

This is the point where I'm probably going to break out into mad cackling that devolves into sobbing.
You won the challenge! Damn. Could you screenshot it?
Yeah I think I can arrange that.

Lets see...

Ahh, that's odd it has a much better processor than my old G4. Anyway, you win the competition... Well done? =P

About 2500 here.

What's odd is that it says I only have 3gb of RAM. I know for sure there are 4 x 1gb sticks in it. Does that mean one of them might be defective? I'd just think my computer would crash in that case.

Anyway, I'm planning to upgrade CPU, harddrive and RAM (to fit the new motherboard) very soon.
Idk much about computers but it did say that the program was best used when all other programs where off and its almost impossible to stop every program running on your computer except that one. I have 2 gigs on mine but the report says 1.95.

I got a 2600 for my laptop.

It's because you're not running the 64bit version, 3 -3.5Gb of ram is as much as a 32bit program/operating system can use.

Hm... without opimization: 5194. But it classifies my system as 32-Bit. Not good.

So this Geekbench is just like Sandra... only it measure crude and fast? I COULD have a horrible score if i wanted... but how do i get it onto my laptop (and get it to run on Dos)? This PC doesn't have floppy anymore. Ah well, i am sure my old 386 would rock this with its solid 33Mhz and 2 MB Ram, hehe.

You win the second part of the competition if you manage to get it on there! ;)

You're running a 32-bit OS. That means your OS can't "see" any more than 2^32 bytes of RAM, which is approximately 3.3 GB.

Not bad for my MacBook Pro with nothing running. Would be better if i could run the 64-bit version

+10 geek points if you manage to port it to an Atari 2600 or BBC Micro for lowest score...
Get me either one and your on :)
I could steal an old BBC Micro from my Sixth form and post it to you I suppose... =P

You're right, that is good pretty darn good for the 32bit. Have you seen the Geekbench scores of the upcoming Macbook Pros? They come with mobile Intel i5's + i7's, they crush my new iMac. But then, they're also £300 - £400 more...

Not at my PC now. But I'm curious to see what score I would receive.

I'm running an i7 processor and 12 GiB of DDR 3 RAM (I do virtual network configurations on my machine. it needs a good amount of memory)

Please post back here when you're on it, if you use the 64bit version you may be able to achieve the 'over 9000' challenge!

I got a total of 5983. I bet my old computer would get below 150. Or at least I know the old pentium 2 I have lying around somewhere would.
