What's odd is that it says I only have 3gb of RAM. I know for sure there are 4 x 1gb sticks in it. Does that mean one of them might be defective? I'd just think my computer would crash in that case.

Anyway, I'm planning to upgrade CPU, harddrive and RAM (to fit the new motherboard) very soon.

Idk much about computers but it did say that the program was best used when all other programs where off and its almost impossible to stop every program running on your computer except that one. I have 2 gigs on mine but the report says 1.95.

I got a 2600 for my laptop.

It's because you're not running the 64bit version, 3 -3.5Gb of ram is as much as a 32bit program/operating system can use.

You're running a 32-bit OS. That means your OS can't "see" any more than 2^32 bytes of RAM, which is approximately 3.3 GB.

I could steal an old BBC Micro from my Sixth form and post it to you I suppose... =P

You're right, that is good pretty darn good for the 32bit. Have you seen the Geekbench scores of the upcoming Macbook Pros? They come with mobile Intel i5's + i7's, they crush my new iMac. But then, they're also £300 - £400 more...

Please post back here when you're on it, if you use the 64bit version you may be able to achieve the 'over 9000' challenge!
