I hope that it will suck so I can stop seeing this damn question (Not necassarily on this forum, but in general). Also, I'd like to see Jim Carrey repise his role as the Riddle, but more of the dark, sinister Carrey from The Number 23, rather than the goofy Jim Carrey of the past.

Also, the Mad Hatter.

No Joker, so there can be no Harley Quinn.... this makes me sad.
Harley is one of my favourite characters from all the batman movies, tv shows, etc. So this makes me sad as well.

And speaking of the Mad Hatter, Tweedledee and Tweedledumb

How could he bring anything good to the table? How? How is anything he has done for the past ten years or more any where close to the high caliber work that was The Dark Knight and Batman Begins? Please explain it to me. I am just curious.
I can't give you any of his work in the past ten years that has been good because, frankly, none of it has. That doesn't mean he can't do an awesome job at this role. Maybe he is a has been, maybe he would ruin the movie if cast. I'd just like to see his take on the character. When the rumor first came up on the web about him maybe playing the Riddler everyone said that it was a terrible idea. I thought about it and really wanted to see what he would do with the role. Its not that I have real high hopes that he would be absolutely amazing. He certainly wouldn't be anywhere near what Heath Ledger's Joker was. I just want to see his take on the role.

Random though on this topic, Patrick Stewart as The Clock King.
That could work if done right and he is certainly awesome enough to be in the next movie.
Been watching alot of The Animated Series recently, and it seems nearly tailor made. I've never seen Patrick Stewart in a position where he didn't seem like he was in complete control of the situation, and that's the Clock King all over.

the only thing wrong with this is they need a joker, and I would like to point out that MARK HAMILL IS AN AWESOME JOKER
VERY VERY true. When I realized he was in Arkham Asylum I was quite smiley, but it's too soon after the momentous final perfomance of Mr. Ledger to tread on that ground. It's a great idea for a later entry to the saga, but I think it would be in poor taste to be in the very next film.
Screw Heath Ledger, in my opinion he is the least of all the joker's
and would you like to know why?
He couldn't do the laugh,
yes he was insane, yes he brooded in chaos, yes the magic pencil trick is awesome
but he couldn't do the laugh and all the joker's before him could
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSHAS38qwDI
I do miss that laugh... It's pretty damn iconic.

Oh and 1 of my friends came up with this, Ian Mclellan as the Riddler
think about, a man who thinks he is so much smarter than you that he leaves clues for you

Like Magneto who looks down on everyone so much that he won't even call them by name(except Charles)

Sadly he just does not make the cut. I used to love Edie. His old school movies and stand up are priceless. He has just lost that thing he used to have. Like I said, it is sad really.

Personally, a major fear of mine is the introduction of Robin. I hate that character with a passion. He was fine with the silly Adam West-style of Batman, but in any serious Batman, he just ruins it for me.
You do realize that Batman, as awesome as he is, shouldn't be taken completely seriously, right? The man dresses up in a cape and fights a clown, after all. Any depth added to appeal to a more adult audience is both pointless and contradicts his initial nature. If he were a completely serious character, Batman not only would be without a Robin, but he would kill the bad guys - with a gun.

On topic: Would it be too much to ask that they simply not make another Batman movie, at least for another decade or so? How about they make something else for the masses to latch onto for its "flawless portrayal of characters?"

I for one would love to see Robert Altman do another Popeye movie, though it would be really hard to top the original.

I hope that Catwoman in this movie will be better than Halle Berry in Catwoman. She was sexy and all, but she did a terrible job in that role.

I have no idea how they could possibly top that film. It was, thrilling, compelling and just pure awesome.

I really liked it because it wasn`t just good guy vs. bad guy, like so many other films, but was a fight between the higher orders of order, chaos, and chance.

Heath Legder stole the screen. I think we all jumped when he did that pencil trick. From then on, I just could not look away.

I want the next batman movie to be as clever as this one. Not just bad guy-good guy fights, but a true complex situation. I do not know how they can achieve this with cat woman but I hope they have some good ideas.

Jonny Depp does have a good mixture of crazy and darkness to be a batman villian though.

To not star Crhistian Bale and remove the director. Give it back to someone that can take the feel of the comics and make it into a movie, not some darki crime bollocks with the worst (Yet best) Joker.

I would personally like to see some killer croc in the next movie. Also, Penguin.

My hopes is there WONT be one.

Batman Begins was brilliant, but I thought the Dark Knight was just a bad remake of the first Batman. Good ol' Jack played the Joker so much better than Heath Ledger

Clayface, Freeze, or Bane(Smart Bane too!).

Freeze my have been cast correctly the first time around but i want to see what the creative eyes that be put in that glass bubble helmet.

Bane has never been done right. The first time I heard there was once a "smart" bane, I shit my own soul.

Clayface is my favorite Batman villain because of the idea of how indestructible he is, how he is able to be anyone anytime, and how he can conjure any weapon he wants, He has the greatest possibility if someone would do him fucking justice.

I think attempting to make another batman movie, after the awesome of the dark knight, is a silly idea. Heath ledger's gone, so there's no more awesome joker bits.

He does have the physique of the riddler going...but can he really beat this?

If they could recreate Freeze from Batman The Animated Series, I would be so very happy. There's a depth to the character that the Governator just couldn't reach.

I call blasphemy on that statement, Jack Nicholsan's was just that - a joker. Heath Ledger introduced this unbelievably dark and edgy side to the character, making him so much more than just some psycho who wears face paint. He made it so you were eager for the Joker to appear - you wanted to see what Ledger was going to do with that performance next, and he never failed to disappoint. How he could go from a sort of sarcastic indifference in one part to psychotic rage in the next just felt so natural. Also, calling the Dark Knight a "bad remake" is ludacris. Better story, a lot more thematic depth, and FAR superior performances from every actor involved.

As for the 3rd Batman movie, I have a strong feeling it won't be as good as the Dark Knight, but that doesn't mean that it can't be a good movie. I personally hope they bring in the riddler, I think that character has a lot of potential provided they get a good actor (Johnny Depp, maybe, as an idea?)

That's very true. The animated series Freeze (before the simpler artist took over, and batman became all fisticuffs and less detective) was a solid character, and I loved seeing his rare appearance. He always brought something unique with him. (This is contrary to when the art styles and story themes shifted. He became just another villian with a freeze gun.)
