it really depends, but my main ones are "safe and sound" by Kyosuke himuro, the Final fantasy seven battle them and boss theme, "everything mustt go chemical brothers mix", and of course, "Yakety sax" whenever im playing a horror game or fighting a big menacing monster.

I pretty much always have this song stuck in my head when I'm nervous.

For me it has to be Johny I Hardly Knew Ya by Dropkick Murphys. Gets me pumped every time [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yg_rf2d894k]

Ooh, this one's going to be fun.

A certain section of it's far too common now, but Nightwish's Ghost Love Score [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3Wo8LCDUKI] is still amazingly effective for more medieval/fantasy-based scenes of heroism (see also Last of the Wilds [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrIz0KCq1YA] for a more feral option). For flight/futuristic scenes, I prefer 4 the Answer [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDbIJy8b_n0]. On a similar note, Spirit of Motherwill [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2tyuG3Mjm0]. For something that involves nigh-impossible odds, The Opened Way [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3PRXFLJYcw].

However, my two most heroism-inspiring songs are actually remixes of music from Touhou. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Nuclear Fusion [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lqsYW5CP7U] and, possibly the most epic song of all time...

Border of Life [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq2Z4ZaTkt4].

The Lavos Boss music from Chrono Trigger, or In The Presence of Enemies Parts 1 and 2 by Dream Theater. Or the DMC3 final boss music.

Immediate Music - Lacrimosa (has been said already but it's just so damn epic)

Also, if you can stand a little melo-death (and those harsh vocals):

Solo at 2:05 and after. They can get anyone pumped to do anything.
