My K/D Ratio is about 1.99 now, and yes I'm constantly looking @ the leaderboards to see if it has risen to 2.00 :) I'm at 8500 kills now, so, pretty neat.

I'm not sure what my K/D ratio is in either CoD:4 or MW2 but I know that in CoD:4 it's going to go up and in MW2 it will probably go down (because I just started).

I never really cared what my kill death ratio is. I'm happy when I do the best on my team and even happier when I do the best overall. Besides that I don't care.

I use classes at random, like a Riot Shield in wasteland, in between matches, so at least I vary my tactics.

COD4-1.05~
MW2-1.02
GOW2-0.6
Halo-0.75~
Killzone2, Team Fortress 2-Laughable.

Today I was in a game of MW2 when my whole team started complaining about how low their kill/death ratios were, and they said their dream ratios. So I was curious:
What is your kill/death ratio in MW2, and if you remember, Cod: 4 or Cod: WaW.
Do you care about your ratio and view it as a reliable measure of skill?
Also, do you use classes that you hate just because you can consistently get good ratios with them?

My K/D in Cod: 4 was around a 0.97, and is a 1.18 in MW2. In WaW i had a 9.0 (after my first game), but it quickly, quickly fell, though I have no idea what it is now, I didn't enjoy it as much as Cod:4. I don't care that much about it, I use classes that I think will be fun, not necessarily ones that give me tons of kills, but I am slightly disappointed if it tanks over the course of a day.
on mw i had a 1.35 if i remember right, and on mw2 i got a 1.3 as of now, it fluctuates alot tho, due to my friends and brothers playing it, so i dont care really, nice to look at but there are some games i go on a 30-3 run and some i barely go 7-12

off topic-my accuracy flops soo much, i generally am right on the mark but if im covering for a guy or making sure a sniper isn't poppin his head out a window ill fire a full mag of blind bullets into the window/wall to keep him from aiming at us while one of our guys goes in behind him or tosses a nade in, so i dont think that category shows much significance

I care about my K/D religiously, it's my judge of how well I'm playing and how good I am at a game. COD4 k/d was 1.35 and my MW2 k/d is 1.66.
I used to think that, but there's too many variables. You can go negative in a game on COD just by being unlucky, there's little skill involved. It's just right place, right time or wrong place, wrong time.

I've said in another thread that I don't like dieing, I don't camp or move slowly I just constantly check every fucking corner of every fucking room of every fucking building. I find if I don't do that I just die because I wasn't already looking at the **** sat in the corner looking at the entrance before I entered. I used to do this constantly because I liked not dieing, but I hardly play COD any more and when I do I can't be fucking bothered to check the corners, there's no skill in it. I prefer Unreal Tournament as an FPS, no one gives a shit about looking in corners, it's just bouncing of walls and shooting people, you get a lot less scrubby deaths too.

My K/D in COD4 was 2.19, in WaW it was 2.3 and in MW2 it's 2.58.

COD4: 0.99

MW2: 1.67

It was 1.78, but I then started playing objective based games and fell foul of the K:D campers.

Edit:

I also feel that COD would be a much more fun game if it didn't keep track of K:D.

I've been hovering between .96 and .99 in MW2. Only have about 4000 kills in though.

I never checked COD4, hardly played it online anyway, and I imagine it's something atrocious like .15, seriously.

MW1, it was 1.15 for the longest time.

WaW, I think it was 1.21

MW2, it's about 1.18

Hooray for me.

Meh. But my accuracy is a whooping 72.5%
WhawhawhawhawhaWHAAAATT? 72.5 WTF!?!?!?!

Sorry, but that's borderline hack-worthy.
I got the game 2 days before release and with an accuracy of 100% at the time (you just had to pick your shots, I mostly roamed around with a riot shield), I was 40th place for accuracy in the entire game.

Since then I sniped from time to time, and down we go to a 70.

Mines sitting at around 1.34 and 1.31 (use 2 accounts) on MW2, and 1.29 on KZ2.

Typically it can be adjusted by simply the style of play or game mode, I can go 30/0 or i can go 28/29. it doesn't really matter but my OCD wants to have it above 1.

Well, I'm not too sure of how to put it into 2 or 3 numbers with a decimal in the middle, but in cod4 it was about 10k kills-11k deaths. In MW2 its now somewhere around 1900 kills-1880 deaths. Not good, not bad. Some matches I suck, some I pwn. I only got MW2 about 2 weeks ago by the way, and I got COD4 a year after it was released then stopped playing it frequently about half a year ago

Been playing MW2 a bit so far but nothing real serious. Around level 39 and really starting to get into it and then I go and break my thumb so I can't play for a month. But right now my K.D ratio is right around 1.51 which i would like to see around 2 but for now I guess thats good enough.

I was never hardcore into MW1 but did pretty well and usually had around a 3 to 1 KD ratio. I wish I would have played it more and really gotten into it and got on a team as I think that I could have been great. But alas, im too casual at most FPSs and back then I spent most my time in WoW. Thank god those days are over.

Depending on the game It is between 1-2. On games I don't play habitually its normally 1.3ish, but on games like CS its on average 2-3, occasionally 4.

On objective-basedish games like TF2 I am always one of the top scorers but have a very low kill limit because I focus on objectives, assistings, or destructions more than just straight killing.
