I think that says quite a bit about my taste. As in that they're varied. However I like to point out 2 on the total overall list (Marvel and Borderlands) have offline multiplayer which I am in love with.

-Pokemon HeartGold: Still like Pokemon games. What can I say?
-God of War III: I was pretty much told i needed it, then it was sort of bought for me =S
-Final Fantasy XIII: Needed a new Final Fantasy. Just needed one.
-Plain Sight: Robot Ninjas are great, way cooler then zombie pirates
-Battlefield Bad Company 2: Got it for some online fun. Yet my online games have been plagued by terrible lag sadly.

-Splinter Cell Conviction: Time to wrap this up Mr. Fisher.
-Red Dead Redemption: Western, Free-roam, and multi-player? Yes please.
-Transformers War for Cybertron: It's transformers. thats really it. Multi-player looks cool too.

I liked the Zelda games for the DS, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. I'm a Sonic fan and the Sonic games on the DS were 2D and actually well made so I'd also recommend the Sonic Rush series. All I can think of off the top of my head however.
