I got all these at the same time, and for the price of one new game, cause I'm that awesome.

Saint's Row 2

No More Heroes 2

Motorstorm Pacific Rift

I already knew these games would be worth it when I got them, which is why... I got them.

Fallout: New Vegas: Collector's Edition (2 weeks ago) - The game was worth every cent, but the rest wasn't worth the extra $20.

Minecraft (2 months ago) - OH GOD YES

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift (~5 months ago) - I honestly cannot remember what my life was like before this game.

Arcania: Gothic 4 - Slightly disappointing, considering the expansive world the previous games offered. But overall it's a pretty solid RPG and enjoyable.

Fallout: New Vegas - Another disappointing sequel. It's basically a clone with a new map and a few video games in my opinion. Not worth the 50$ price tag on steam, 30$ seems like a better price in my opinion.

Halo: Reach - Hated it. I've never been big on Halo, but I really didn't enjoy this one. Far too much hype, too little return.

I have the bad habit of buying games when cheap to put away for a rainy day. So technically the last 3 I bought were:

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura - bought on GoG for $2.99 and haven't played yet.

Planescape: Torment - There is no way to say how worth it this game is, although I haven't played the version I bought yet (Actually owned it since it came out but re-bought on GoG when they released it a while back)

Borderlands and DLC: Ned, Moxxi, Knoxx - Original game was great. Put a load of time into it and will be replaying it in the future. Ned was a lot of fun , Knoxx has too much driving for my tastes, haven't played Moxxi. Well worth the £15 for everything

Adding games which I have bought AND played recently:

Machinarium - Well worth it for $6 I paid. Little replay value but a nice little game by a dev I want to support.

Red Faction: Guerilla - For only £3.75 this was a good purchase. I've beaten the first two areas and stopped playing for now. Unfortunately it gets quite repetitive and some missions are annoying as all hell. But I'll keep going back to it, after playing other games so that I can enjoy the gameplay again.

I bought Worms 2: Armageddon (recent PSN/PS3 version) a few weeks ago. It's a lot of fun, and it cost me 15 bucks. Mostly due to a spotty internet connection, I've had trouble playing online, but I've had a good time playing with family and friends on three occasions so far, and I will likely get a lot more out of the game as time goes on. It's definitely worth it to me.
I find the old Worms Armageddon to be very much superior... like some of the new stuff, but just hate how you can't change so many of the game settings. And the UI has console port written all over it (which they pretty much said themselves, but it's painfully obvious anyway) which I really, really hate. As cheap as it is and as nice it is to finally get a game that works out of the box on a W7, it's still not worth the upgrade imo :\

OT:
Fallout New Vegas - God yes. I'll admit, I enjoyed Fallout 3's setting more as the story/atmosphere felt so much bigger (you're saving the entire area rather than just siding with and solving faction bickering), but the game's still awesome and well worth the price. I'm biased however as Morrowind-style games are just a dream come true to me (huge open world) and aside from Oblivion and F3, there isn't really a single game like it. The game is awesome on it's own however, the story's interesting and there's a lot of cool (though ambiguous and hard to make) choices and well, just about everything that comes with a huge open world game is done right as far as I'm concerned. There's lots of room for improvement in different areas (more songs for the radio etc.) but none of it really bothers me too much or stops me from enjoying the game... and there's probably gonna be a buttload of mods coming soon to remedy most if not all of the shortcomings.

Civilization 5 - Ah, this is a tough one. Lemme get the good out of the way first. I love the game. It's an enjoyable game. I've played Civ 3 before (even recently) and there's so many improvements (I know, a lot of them came with 4, but still) and the gameplay feels truly awesome. The thing is though, I would like about 5 minutes with whomever is responsible for the optimization. Or just 2 seconds to punch them in the face. And maybe kick them in the groin. Would also like to slap the people responsible for rushing the release and leaving a ton of bugs in the game. You've noticed I've not mentioned bugs in Fallout: NV at all and you know how all the reviews cite it as a main flaw. Lemme put it this way, F: NV is a Godsend and the bugs are barely noticeable. Civ 5 on the other hand has them pouring out of every orifice and that's not just the "only happens on some strange systems" and shit like that, they're bugs everyone's experiencing that any half assed game testing could squash before they could get a chance to grab their morning coffee. Most are not gamebreaking (although there are a few of those gems as well), but it's just a... disgrace to see something like that in a mainstream title with so much experience behind it. Optimization though... that's just beyond inexcusable.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 - Definite yes. I love the Battlefield series and although I very much prefer the old style of grand battles in the non-Bad Company ones, with ships, air units etc., BF:BC2 gets a LOT of things right and easily makes it my top and well worth the price online FPS. Again, there are things that could be improved (some game breaking bugs on the added maps, more maps for variety etc.) but again, nothing that makes the game unplayable or hard to enjoy.

Well my last last last purchase was Sam & Max Season 3, which I know doesn't run on this computer, but I bought anyway because they were having a sale and I'm going to switch computers come end of the year. So I can't tell for sure but considering Telltale's track record with me I'm thinking it was worth it.

All my gaming purchases this year have been cheap indie or classic games, in fact, so it's hard for them not to be worth the small amount of money they cost.

I'll go with most recently:

Fable 3 ($60)- So far I really enjoy it.

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare ($10)- it's like a whole new game. For ten bucks, you can't beat it.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World ($15)- loved it, although I still haven't beaten Gideon...

If I recall correctly:
Final Fantasy XIII - It was with trepidation that I bought it, but I was happy that I did. I bought it at the start of the summer holiday to keep me amused until I went back to college and I finished it just before I went back. So yes, totally worth it.
Bayonetta and God of War 3 - Oh Hell yes!

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Really fun if not really hard.

Fallout: New Vegas - Haven't played it yet. Most likely won't until I beat Castlevania...

Sonic 4: Episode 1 - Is fun so far, if not a little sluggish control-wise.

Bioshock 2: Yes for £10 it was definately worth getting. I actually quite liked being a big daddy (at least, once i found a tonic that improves movement speed) Great fun all round really although the story wasn't as good as Bioshock's.
Halo: Reach: £40 I think. Yeah it was worth it, even if the campaign was a bit short again i sitll enjoyed it a lot. The multiplayer and mapmaking are icing on the cake really.
I can't actually remember what the game I bought before that was... Seeing as it was evidently completely unmemorable its safe to say it wasn't worth it.

I've been fairly held back this year as far as game buying has gone, so I'll try to remember my last three purchases...

NBA 2K11: Converted me from the EA basketball games after around 4-5 years of playing them. Brilliant game that does the sport justice, there's just so much time to be spent in all of the game modes.

Pokémon Soul Silver: 500+ hours of playtime speaks for itself. A brilliant remake and best game in the series so far. Plus I finally got a Mew without that stupid glitch from the original Red version.

Blood Bowl Maybe? Heck I dunno, I played a fair bit of WoW early on in the year before taking a break until Cataclysm (about a 5-6 month break due to lack of new things to do, but I digress) so thinking that far back is a slight problem. Blood Bowl was great fun, didn't have much staying power but it was regularly in my disk drive for a month or two. I got Mass Effect 2 earlier in the year as well, only a single play through, but worthwhile (will probably go back through it to iron out some choices for ME3).

Medal of Honor- Generic but still good, though I feel a little ripped off on the single player. Multiplayer is less campy and snipey than i expected so I would say it was worth it.

Starcraft 2- As the single player whore I am, I got a lot of fun out of this. I'm not a fan of the multiplayer cause I seem to get swarmed all the time.

Orange Box- 5 games, one box, what's not to like. Though I don't really get much replay value out of Half-Life and the episodes, it was good fun. I go to the Orange Box for Portal and Half-Life and stay for Team Fortress so yes worth it.

Civ V = yes, although I'm not addicted to it.
Halo Reach = yes, I got way more than my money's worth
Spirit Tracks = yes, even though sidequests were all the same, the dungeons were freaking amazing

I've also been playing Dwarf Fortress, and even though that's free I donated $25 to the developer/publisher/god, so yeah, I have got my money's worth times infinity.
