I am aiming towards being a film director; my sister's teaching me technique and method this summer.
I am a writer, I haven't published anything yet, but that's what I want to do. I want to make my living as an author.
I also want to own my own lake and all the property around said lake as my private nature reserve. A small portion of the property will be turned into a small medieval like village (except all the buildings will have all the same modern things that any other house does) and I will live out my excentric fantasies and enjoy my life with no stress.
Failing that, I would like to do behavioral and cultural studies. Because people are just so interesting, especially stupid people. I haven't yet figured out what makes them tic...

Seen as how happiness is becoming a little cliche in this thread, I'll say one of the factors that will contribute to my happiness.
Being recognised for doing some great good in my short stint on this planet. Hell I don't even have to be recognised for it, so long as I can make an impact for the better.

I never had any goals when I was a child, and I have no idea why.
I just want to make a positive difference in the world. I don't even care if I'm remembered for it or not, I just want the world to stop being such a depressing place. Also, I want to move somewhere that isn't America. Somewhere quiet would be preferable. Every time I think of possibly raising a kid here, I freak out. I don't like what our society has become, and I want my kids to see the better side of the world.

Childhood dream: ummm... astronaut I guess.
Teenager dream: screw my homeroom teacher, become master of parkour and freerunning
Not an adult yet so my more mature dream is: become master of parkour and free running, get a well paying job, screw my homeroom teacher.

Man, there are so many people who want to be writers. I guess I did too, though I also wanted to be a scientist before I realized there was math involved in most science-type stuff.
I kind of started on the whole writer thing when I submitted "Jerry" for the fiction issue here last year. It was my first rejection letter and first acceptance letter, when they said they didn't want it for summer but wanted it for winter, so I got both of those important steps out of the way.
Now let's see if I ever find time to finish any other stories x.x

I wanted to build things... I was a huge fan of legos.
After looking into architecture and how annoying that process is in middle school and high school, I decided to take a more... Lazy approach, and go into film and video.
Incidentally, I've possibly found myself a career in film and video that I enjoy, so my current life goal is to make money off of video editing.
A bit of a jump from my childhood dreams, but seriously... I lack the patience and self-motivation for engineering and architecture.
