Definitely my music. The Post-Hardcore genre. It's just not that popular at all.
[Insert random gibberish here showing how exciting it is to see another person who doesn't hate that genre with all of their guts because "It's like, all just noise and screaming!"]
I love that genre.
So do I. But it's just not that well known in New Zealand.
Don't worry, it's not only New Zealand. I've only met one person who shared a liking of post-hardcore music in my state, and no one I've associated with online has seemed to like it either. Predominant music genres around here appear to be rap/hip-hop and then country, followed by alternative rock. And it seems most people I know who don't just like those tend to like classic rock/techno/electronica/whatever they consider to be "real" metal (usually old Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pantera, etc.)
Though I've met a few people who hate post-hardcore because it's not heavy enough for them (typically fans of death metal and other similar genres). I attempt to just avoid talking about music anymore, because I don't limit myself to any certain genre (the only ones I don't like are country and hip-hop and I don't actively search out rap, jazz, big band, soul, or pop, but I do like them and most any other genre) but for some reason so many people seem to think that you can't possibly like Eminem
and Asking Alexandria
and Between the Buried and Me
and Blink-182.
