So I've been ill this weekend, I still am a little but anyway. When I went to bed on friday I could tell that it was going to be a bad night because I was shivering and sweating at the sametime but I finally got to sleep.

I woke up at about 4:30 with a really sore throat and coughing really bad but the strange thing was when I think back now I cannot understand my own thoughts. I can't remember most of it but I do remember something about tree branchs and what kind of looks like a game loading screen. Nothing fun and fancy just a percentage going to 100%, after it hit 100% my eyes would open.

So I'm wondering have you ever had one those nights when your sick and your thoughts just don't make sense?

I remember this one time I had a really high fever and I was told I was laughing quietly to myself. The TV and radio weren't on, and I wasn't reading, but apparently I was staring the wall when all this happened.

When I come out of it my dad told me it was the creepiest damn thing he's ever seen.

My Dad had swine flu and he was talking about the origins of the Jewish society, reeaaally old football games and he had no idea who I was. He also swore a hell of a lot, which is always funny.

My boyfriend tells me that last time I was ill, I kept going on about not having enough cupcakes for everyones kittens. I worry myself

When I'm ill, I have suicidal thoughts, then I enjoy the wonders of the world, then I get really bored, I laugh to myself, I try to think up something I haven't before (sometimes I manage, sometimes I don't), I get up and press my body against the wall while doing pelvic thrusts, then I stop for a moment (call it a "loading time"), I start talking to myself (usually it results in an argument because I can be a real jackass to myself), then I...
No, wait. That's what I do normally.

Nothing interesting really. I just revert to the early-morning auto-pilot mode of thought. If it's serious enough that I can't idly play games that I know enough to not have to concentrate then I'll just sleep. Otherwise I don't talk, I move slowly if I move at all and I drink gallons of tea.

I usally have weird dreams, struggling to escape from some disater that always repeat's it's self no matter what I do. Kept thinking I was trapped under my blanket for some reason, twisting around trying to break free. I swear I keep dreaming of things to come but it could just be my fever messing with me.

Whenever I am sick, all I can think of is "Oh gosh, I feel awful! My mouth taste like X, My stomach is upset, it feels like something's gonna come out!" Although I do try to think my thoughts... It's just that when I am sick, they easily go back to "Oh I'm sick!"

I remember one time when I had a fever, I was trying to get to sleep, and I hallucinated fairies fluttering around my body.

Possibly the trippiest night I've ever had.

...I want to do it again...

When I get sick I just want to work, it's really odd I just look for things to work on and the last thing I want to do is rest, I guess I become way more responsible than normal and I tend to ignore whatever symptoms the illness may cause, this normally leads into getting sicker by the next day, it doesn't help that I don't like to take medicine so that tends to make things worse, I'm the same way with injuries too.

One time when I was really sick and lying in bed trying to sleep, I imagined my body turning into a kind of taiga landscape (cold, mountainous, covered with pine trees) and watching packs of wolves run through it o_O

I usually get really horrible fever dreams that make me feel anxious and frightened, and I have difficulty figuring out what's real and what isn't. But even then I can tell the difference between "your" and "you're".

One night I had a serious case of toothache and I couldn't make out my thoughts due to an overload of curses going around inside my head. You know, too many repeatings of the same few words sort of jumbles it all up.

I don't really get sick hallucinations, at least what I remember. From what I know I just think about sick, try to sing myself better (I have no idea), or stay in bed. Of course one time I was extremely sick I had an extremely realistic dream that exaggerated all my symptoms to the point that I thought I was gonna die.

When I get sick my depth perception just kinda.. stops working.

I start to think I'm a giant and creep around so careful because I'm scared I'll crush anything I touch. My cats, in particular, as they tend to crowd around me in concern.

I've never gone mental like the other posters. I just think this is awful but look on the brightside no school. I've never had a serious illness don't think I've ever had the flu.
