I'm just curious, what games have you been most excited for in your life?
And did they live up to your expectations? (if they're out)

I think my two would be Skyrim and Ocarina of time on 3DS.
Oblivion is my favourite game of all time, and the fact they are using a new engine for Skyrim has me even more hyped.

And Ocarina of Time on 3DS? It will be the first time I've played it in years. Just listen to this, it brings back so many memories.
Plus it's in 3D.

Streets of Rage 2, and yes it did. Side scrolling fighting at its finest.

Although now after finishing Mass Effect 2 over Christmas I'm climbing the walls in anticipation for Mass Effect 3.

Pokemon Black and White. March 6th baby! I have no idea which one I'm going to buy though. The previous games give no reference point whatsoever

Star Wars The Old Republic is probably one of my most anticipated games because they are trying to make a more story oriented mmo and that interests me. Also, I love Star Wars and Kotor is one of my favorite games of all time.

Despite my love of action games, the game I most eagerly await is Little Big Planet 2.

inFamous 2 anybody? I loved the first game and I can't wait to see what happens with the story. Although I hope Cole doesn't look like the early concept art...

Skyrim.

Duh.

I was wishing for Skyrim to be the setting ever since I first set foot in Bruma in Oblivion.

Nords are just so damn fun.

The English version of Pokemon Black and White. I bought and played the Japanese version, but would still like to get the English one just because.
And Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm. An expansion to my favorite RTS/Second favorite game in the history of existence? Yes please.
And also, Monday Night Combat for the PC. From the little I played on the 360, this game is awesome, and I can't wait.

The big 3 on my list are:

Dissidia Duodecim- The first game was an amazing fighter and an awesome piece of fan service. It's come back for round two with more stages, characters, improved story mode, more content, and a crap ton of new tweaks and battle mechanics.

DO WANT!!!

Crysis 2- The first Crysis is one of my favorite shooters ever, and despite what people may think, it was more than just a pretty looking game. The second game looks awesome and I hope the shift to consoles and shift of setting don't comprise the game in any way. So far it looks awesome and if they manage to keep the great open level design, give it a better story and improve some mechanics with an awesome multiplayer; I'll be all over it.

Bulletstorm- It's big, loud, silly, and obnoxious, just like the shooters of old before the genre decided to go all serious business. It just looks like pure fun stuffed with extra cheese, if this game is as good as it's trailers then I'm in for a hell of a time.

Runners up would be:

Mass Effect 3- just because I already have the first two, might as well see how this whole thing ends to I can determine if the whole thing is a massive pile of average or if this one brings it all together into something good.

The 3rd Birthday
Tactics Ogre remake
Guild Wars 2 (if it decides to debut this year)
Deus Ex....still gotta finish the other two.

Portal 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic. Both games look insanely fun and are coming from very esteemed devs, so I have high hopes and anticipation for both. [small]If only they'd stop being postponed...[/small]

Mass Effect 3, and whatever DLC will come for Mass Effect 2.

My anticipation is killing me.
