I'm sure there are loads of these topics around but still, what is everyone's either most epic or embarassing moment online be it on the PS3, Xbox or PC. I can see a lot of Halo and Metal Gear Online replies coming lol. Most of my mine have been on Metal Gear Online as I'm more of a Sony girl lol.

mine has to be on warhawk where my voice broke in the middle of calling some one an unintelligent fucktard and then have everyone of the players erupt in laughter at me.

or missing seven consecutive sniper shots on MGO.

Given that my Kill/Death ratio in Halo 3 is 0.66 it is fair to say that I've yet to not have an embarrassing moment.

My most epic moment was a complete fluke Skyjack from a mancannon - I was so surprised that I had managed to time the trajectory and not get shot as I flew past its wing that I promptly flew it into the cliff next to the waterfall.

Thing is, if that happened to me I probably would have been laughing with them.

My most embarrassing moment has to be when I had a completely open path to bombing the crap out of a pile of people standing at an airfield in Battlefield 2, and completely missed. Not only that, but I almost crashed my plane into a tree, but bailed out just in time to parachute into the middle of all the people I had just tried to bomb.

A banshee I got out of in midair crushed this guy that I started a firefight with around 5 seconds after I hit the ground. As for most embarrasing wait I got another EPIC one this xbox live gears 1 player kept insulting me and glitching, you know the works. Then I got the most awesome headshot as he was running away. Another funny one was when on gears my friend was telling my other friend to move out the way and he would be fine (I had a sniper) and so he rolled and I popped his head mid roll (both of these were flukes by the way, but you know who cares?)

I later realized it was on and when i talked to them they thought i was a girl. (i hadnt hit puberty yet). Ironically now i have the deepest voice of anyone i know.

Cod4 Search and destroy im the last guy left on my team there three on theres, I know everyone is watching I duck and dive and kill one still damaged from the first I manage to kill the second with a nice head shot I get my health back, the third guys in a building after a short fire fight he ends up on last stand knowing he will probably kill me if I go near him I quickly throw a flash bang to finish him off it bounces of a wall hits me in the face and killed me....
Not the explosion of the flash bang no the impact of it hitting me every one on both teams are laughing.

my most epic moment was on warhawk when i took out a warhawk with a pistol and a grenade.
or when on COD, a game i do not own, i single handedly took out six of my friends in an online match after the rest of my team had been killed, i can't remember the type of game, but its the one where once you die you remain dead. this may not be that impressive to the rest of you but bear in mind the fact that i don't, nor have i ever, owned COD and my friends were full on COD junkies.

In L4D I bitched at a guy for not giving up his medkit because I was low on health. I had forgotten that before the safedoor was closed I grabbed a medkit, so I had one on me. I felt like a pretty big douchebag.

Playing Quake: Enemy Territories online and getting a turret dropped on me by an ally...I'm not sure which that qualifies for, honestly.

I'm very good at CoD 4 so I have Epic moments all the time :D
But in Far Cry 2 I had a pretty failing moment, I missed the entire magazine of the AS50 on a guy that was standing still :C
But after that I reloaded, killed him, and then got like a 15 kill streak :)
...YES, I like smileys!

Recently, on L4D, I was playing Dead Air with a few mates. We where in the second map and we were nearing the spot where you have to lower the skip to move fowards. As we came to the window leading on to the roof top a tank appeared on the other side. We quickly threw a molitail, but it came though the window and beat Bill to the ground. I managed to get his attention onto me, I ran out of the window, he chased me, one hit, I go flyin backwards...off the buiding. Everyone went down shortly afterwards.

Hmm, tricky one for me here, mainly because I've done some rather stupid things in my time on this wonderful internet.

TF2
In TF2, sticky-bomb and rocket jumping are quite viable tactics which when used correctly can be an epic strategical move. While playing a clan match Arena mode, I was the last soldier standing, against 2 low on health enemies.

Lets just say that my strategical thinking led to a rather explosive embarrassing death in which the 2 enemies were unscathed, and I had successfully blown myself up, in front of everyone else who was spectating.
"You monkey-hubbarding spanner." was the phrase that followed from one of my team-mates, and I couldn't have agreed with him more.

CS:S Same thing as above really, except for an epically aimed frag grenade was the weapon of choice. When thrown it accidentally hit my last remaining team mate's head (dealing him 1 damage and thus killing him), which then proceeded to bounce back at me resulting in killing myself. Laughter and insults ensued promptly afterwards.

There are a few more choice moments, but those two are probably the most embarrassing and stupidest things I've done on the internet.

Embarrasing:

The first time I played Team Fortress 2, I got dominated by every single member of the opposite team.

Epic:

Halo 3: Abusive, trash talking American on opposite team (which was comprised of him and three others using the same console). I don't remember his gamertag, so I'll just call him Bastardpants.
-pre-match-
Bastardpants: Hey Iron Ninja, I'm gonna kill you, I'm gonna kill you over and over.
Iron Ninja (that's me): Well I would be quite surprised if you didn't, killing the opposite team is sort of the point of the game isn't it?
Bastardpants: *short pause* I'm gonna kill you and then I'm gonna rape your corpse.
Iron Ninja: I see, I'm sure that will have long lasting repercussions in real life, I can almost feel the emotional scars already.
Bastardpants: I'll kill you in real life too *****.
Iron Ninja: How?
Bastardpants: I'll shoot you N***er!
Iron Ninja: Do you even have a gun?
Bastardpants: I have twelve shotguns.

-game starts as I attempt to laugh at his blatant lies-

The three others on my team (who were also using the one console) lag out and leave.
Leaving me to face the four of them by myself.
I beat them.

The few seconds of raucous laughter I managed to fit in before they had the chance to leave the lobby was worth it.

Rocket Arena. Not online, it was a 5v5 tournament at a LAN. Our team were a bunch of idiots who had only joined for fun, up against actual RA clans. Somehow, we made it to the grand final, against... buggered if I can remember now. But we'd made it, god knows how, and we were holding our own. They were clearly better players, complete with strategy for each map, perfect team play and a lot more experience than us, but we were a team of 5 loud-mouthed, brash late-teens/early-twenties gamers whom individually had our strengths, but would prefer to run around, maybe sticking in pairs, instead of co-ordinate. Hell, I didn't even like Quake 3 and had never played Rocket Arena before the tournament. The only thing really in our favour was that the tournament was sponsored by that company that makes those Shuttle PCs. Possibly called Shuttle or something, so that the tournament was held on 10 standard PCs, with everyone getting the default layout.

By all rights, we should have been trounced by superior ability. It was a first to 21, so should have been a crushing 21-0 defeat. But we held our own, amidst jibes and cajoling... at ourselves. For the most part, we were trailing by one round or tying. At one point, we'd even snuck ahead, 16-15. It was on the next match that the clan decided they would get serious, shout at the universe and raise their power levels to 9000. Within half a minute of the next round beginning, the rest of my team were reduced to spectators, shouting directions at me. I ran around a seemingly empty map for about a minute, before finding them all camped up the top of an open area, waiting for me to come out. I saw them first, panicked at being outnumbered, so started spamming grenades. Slaughtered two of them, the rest jumped and worked their way back up to avenge their team mates. So I did what any suicidal would do. I followed them. Ran back to their little sniper nest, jumped and pulled out my trusty rocket launcher, ensuring I announced my presence by filling every corridor full of tasty rockets. And managed to kill another. Three down, two to go, feeling invincible in the face of superior odds and deafened by the shouts of my team mates, who had all gathered around me for the sole purpose of shouting, I pressed on.

And promptly got railed in the face.

We went on to lose 21-19, but had generated that much of a spectacle that half the LAN had gathered to watch. Though we didn't get the first prize, which was either a hard drive or DVD burner, we did get a consolation prize of a CD chest. I still have that chest, stacked full of CDs, gathering dust, a monument to my glorious lanning days, back before I developed a throbbing hatred for PC gaming.

Day of defeat Source
Playing on Avalanche, assault class US army. Fight through every german player bar one, kill them all with a combination of tommy gun spray, furious fists and righteous .45 calibre anger. The rampage lasts a good five minutes and twelve kills, only to die by falling a small distance off a ledge (the one above second Axis). Epic Fail.

On my first mafia playthrough I only found out the game had a map near the last level by accidental button press. You have no idea how hard it is to find the starting location with visual memory alone.

I've never been very good at multi player games, so my "epic" exploits may seem commonplace to some of you, but I was proud of them.

In Halo 3 we were playing a 4-on-4 system link match. My team was in a dorm room next to the other team. At the start of the match I ran toward the other team's start point and tossed two random frag grenades, not really expecting to hit anything. I got an overkill, all four of them were killed. So, that was naught but luck. But I was greeted by several people yelling "What the hell was that?!" from the next room. Which was awesome.

Another time in Halo I was doing matchmaking and got grouped up with these guys I'd never played before on big team. The other side was going on about how we all sucked because apparently none of us had played since Bungie decided to reset the rankings, and we were all recruits. They felt they had the game right there. Unfortunately, they were wrong. We destroyed them, 100 to 17. I won't pretend I had much to do with that, the other guys on my team were insane.
