I have only a few problems...

5) When it's just a commercial for a really sh*tty toy line.
Shameless product placement in kid's shows isn't quite a trend just in anime. It happens pretty much everywhere. Although it is annoying as hell.

Anyway, I get pretty annoyed whenever the main character reaches too deep into his bag of deus ex machina tricks, and he suddenly gets all "edgy" and dark looking, then after he wins in a matter of seconds they decide that the ability is bad because it makes him to vicious or aggressive.

Pointless fanservice. Case in point is High School of the Dead. Stopped watching halfway through, couldn't stand 75% of the show just being about showing some very jiggly, oversived, cartoon T'n'A.

- Annoying fanservice. Unlike most people, I will be the first to admit that a bit of fanservice doesn't necessarilly hurt a show. But when it is done frequently and/or in a "in your face" manner, it starts to get annoying even when you are the intended audience....especially when you are the intended audience. I can't recall her name, but there is a female character in Bleach who's breasts are so enormous that you literally have trouble paying attention to the show.
Rangiku Matsumoto
No, I mean another character. The one with the bandana on her head, who keeps smoking something and provides a rocket for Ichigo and his friends so they can get into Soul Society.

I hate anime period, but there are 2 main problems with it.

1: They have to explain EVERYTHING! like for example:

A simple Yu-Gi-Oh battle would be

Place Card
Say something
Enemy Places card
Says something
Certain cards are blocked and or destroyed, making them pointless
Repeat till one is defeated

In Anime:

Thinks about what the enemy has just done or has done in the past
Place card explaining every little detail about the card
Enemy talks about his past with other character and/or his own mission
Enemy places card explaining every detail
Several times the cards block one another, but the characters are like "THIS WILL FINISH YOU AND MAKE ME STRONGER!!" making the pointlessness even more visable
Throw in Philosophical Ideals that seem so ridiculous for a card game to have
Enemy looses and it's the biggest deal in the world to both sides!

And 2: Every anime is either over the top or realistic and boring. You either get the Monster Battling Fantasy style Big Robot anime, or the anime about a character simply living a life that you or I could have.

a few months back i tried to watch bleach 192 in Japanese because the ending to 167 annoyed me greatly and i really had trouble telling the voices apart i must be out on some joke because i really don't understand how the original Japanese is better. i know that like me a lot of viewers don't speak Japanese so how can the Japanese versions of a program be considered greater when a lot of people viewing them cant understand them please im asking for more of a clarification then any real dig at any one
I actually prefer the original audio. I've learned quite a bit from it.

I feel that with many shows, the Japanese voice actors better convey the emotions of the character. You don't need to speak the language to understand how they're feeling. Then there are those odd moments where the character should pause while they're talking, but for some reason, they don't. It creates weird run-on sentences.

Also, I get sick of hearing the same 5-6 English voice actors in every show. I get it, you're an awesome voice actor, but I don't want my Lelouch to sound like Vash.

Every anime, no matter how weird has to have some kind of fan service, and girl see the need to put couples together because they are cute together despite it being canon or not...
Oh and in many the girls are always "kyaaaa!" or too tough so they seem like dikes. Median anyone?

That really shocked, glaring, twitchy look a character get's in their eyes when something detrimental or terrible is happening. And the shot always looks at their face as it loops the same 2-frame eye twitch as the antagonist or someone says something bad.

And poorly done comedic scenes that random just jump away from the actual story to be "SOOOOO RANDOM!!!! ZOMG!" Don't get me wrong, I love comedy as much as the next guy, but some animes do it in such a disgustingly generic way that I can't stand it. But I loved it in shows like FLCL, it felt like they incorporated that kind of comedy into the carefree and youthful style of the show as opposed to just shoving it in there to cater to a particular demographic, and I actually found it hilarious.

Where to start?

Well first off I hate it how characters with glasses overtly push them up their nose while facing to the side while acting all cool under pressure or just plane arrogant.

Second I cannot stand how regardless of whether she is a tough go to women or a whiny *****, all girls need to be rescued by a man.(Except for Cowboy Beebop!)

Third, I know martial arts and katanas are an intrical part of their culture but its overuse in addition to appearing out of place in space and zombie environments just for the sake of being there is a royal pain in the ass.

Fourth, every goddamn person is a thin skinned, self doubting emo, or pose striking arrogant villian.

Fifth is the complete forgoing of reality when it comes to mechs, destroying all hope of suspension of belief in addition to the impossible manueving capabilities they posses regardless of size.

Sixth is how almost all characters despite being human are capable of super human feats thru sheer will alone. Bullshit!

Seventh is how Japanese take Western and European media and adapt it into shit, does not work when we do it to you so what makes you think you can do any better (Looking at you Halo Legends)?

Eighth is how numerous characters maintain rediculous poses at seamingly every possible and/or inapropriate moment.

Ninth is how many episodes are artificially elongated for absolutely no reason with a single fight taking nearly a quarter of a season!

Tenth is all the damn taking opponents do during fighting to lengthen the episode.

Eleventh is that damn annoying reacuring theme where an opponent wants their rival to reveil their true power and the rival does not want to.

Twelth is the god awful dialogue! Quoted to the best of my memory from Bleach. "Do not go easy or I will not let you live!" Who the hell talks like that?!

And finally thirteenth is the absolutely horrible repetitive happy go lucky music and lyrics that happen during intense scenes. If you are going to use happy music in a fight scene at least let it be Polysics.

Are there any anime I actually like? Yes.

Cowboy Beebop

Black Lagoon

I don't mean to be a dick, but is english your first language?

Oh yeah, and this list reminded me about people reacting to things by falling over. It never really made any sense to me, and it's not that funny to start with, even ignoring how overused it is.

Ah yes Dragonball Z. The originator of the infamous "30 seconds" on Namek that lasted half a season.

Fanservice when it doesn't fit the character or the situation (ex. High School of the Dead)

When animation quality is good in spurts but is mostly just average or shitty (ex. Naruto)

When a plot falls apart and series only really focuses on comedy when it could have had a good story (ex. Angel Beats)

When a premise just makes no sense from day one... (Yugioh, GX, and 5Ds).

In short, while I like anime for no adequately explained reason... I hate so many little nuances of it. Lately, I've begun wondering why I even bother watching or reading any of this shit... but I still do. Like a crack addict coming back for more, even though they stopped giving him the good stuff a long time ago.
