Super Kawaii Moe Bullshit pisses me off so much.

I want anime about robots and samurais and cool guys, not preteen-looking girls with high pitched voices and fiery attitudes. K ON and Lucky Star are prime offenders. I can see how someone would like that crap, some people probably just don't like substance or thought provoking entertainment. Either because of a simple mind or a casual attraction to anime.

How main characters always grow up to be absurdly powerful versions of Jesus.

That's why I liked To Aru Majutsu no Index...the main character was weak, and stayed pretty weak throughout the whole thing without turning into some kind of messiah. (NARUTO/BLEACH/ONE PIECE -rage-)

Although...I do still like One Piece. Yes, the main characters are ridiculously powerful, but compared to everyone else in the world, they're still in the minor leagues. That might change with the time skip, but hey.

It grinds my gears when people prefer to watch anime in Japanese instead of a language they, you know, understand? You will not become more japanese if you hear japanese people talk, just letting you know. And the excuse they always use (translation errors) are negligible since some japanese word plays won't work in english. And again, laughing at these jokes doesn't make you japanese either, they aren't important to the story.
Why should I watch dubbed anime, when the original voice acting is most of the time better?

"You will not become more japanese if you hear japanese people talk, just letting you know." Uhhh... what? Seriously, what?

Also, anime characters look more like Japanese than Americans/Europeans, so Japanese voice acting feels a bit more natural.
Well how can you say that the voice is better when you don't know what they're saying. Its the same as listening to someone speak in German or Russian - just gibberish.

I just prefer to have it in english because its like I'm a third person experiencing the story, instead of reading a script with voices I don't understand.
I don't really understand how I couldn't. For example, I watched an Italian film some time ago and one actor was overacting. I didn't need to know Italian to notice that. Also, I do know what they're saying, because there's subtitles.

Some people like dubs and some like subs. I'm from Finland and here almost everything is subbed, so watching subbed anime feels completely normal to me. You're probably used to dubbing.

Or it could just be personal preferences. Not everything needs to be about weeaboos and otakus.

Someone preferring something you don't prefer doesn't automatically mean that he's an idiot or an elitist.

Pointless fanservice. Case in point is High School of the Dead. Stopped watching halfway through, couldn't stand 75% of the show just being about showing some very jiggly, oversived, cartoon T'n'A.
that is probably cause that show is done by a hentai artist.

and personally, seeing some barely covered boobs never hurt me. not one bit.

Boobs. MASSIVE boobs.
Get the fuck out. Now.

First off, I actually like anime, at least most of the ones that I've watched. This is just stuff that I don't get or that pisses me off. I'll try to cite examples where I think of any.

-Androgynous characters(Naruto)
-Increasingly bizarre transformations that make previous forms completely obsolete.(DBZ,Bleach)
-Characters attaining godlike powers, yet still find bad guys that are stronger.(DBZ,Bleach)
-Harem anime where no one fucks.(too many to list)
-Anime where a girl falls in love with a guy that treats her like crap, or is a dick, or both.(Bleach,Naruto)
-Anime where a girl falls in love with a guy she's never said two words to.(Naruto)
-Guys that don't want to fuck the ridiculously hot chicks that constantly surround them.(you know the ones)
-Bad guys that don't die.
-Really bad guys that become good guys.
-Filler(a hell worthy trespass)
-Characters not having the balls to tell someone that they love them.(Seems like every single fucking one)
-Yelling makes you stronger(no it doesn't-DBZ,Naruto,Bleach)
-Friendship(next one to make a friendship speech gets shanked)
-God-like characters that are terrified of their significant others.(DBZ)
-Beach and hot spring episodes(I shouldn't have to list these should I?)
-Destiny
-Underage girls and characters that look like underage girls(Bleach)
-Pairings that don't make any fucking sense(DBZ)
-Collection quests(Dragon Ball)
-I'm dead, now I'm back, now I'm dead again, but I'm really not.(Bleach,DBZ)
-Terrible openings(One Piece)
-Japanese pop music(I hate it like Hitler hated gypsies)
-Teases(Bleach)
-Rapists(DBZ,Bleach,others)
-Pedophiles(no, just no)
-Children doing shit that adults with combat training should do(Gundam)
-Tournaments(Yu-Yu-Hakusho,DBZ)
-Characters that are super powerful, but hate to fight
-Tears
-Not killing irredeemable bad guys
-Plot armor
-Characters with vast untapped amounts of power that only old guys and training can unlock(DBZ,Bleach, others)
-Characters that are angry and anti-social helping people.(Bleach)
-Angst(Emos ruin everything)
-Orphans(keep a hold on your fucking parents

There's more, but I can't think of it right now; I can only let so much hate flow out at one time.

Edit: Wait, I've got another one! Series that don't tell you where or when their shit is happening.(DBZ,Yu-Gi-Oh,others I can't remember)
agree on the gtfo on the massive boobs.its one of japans finest gifts.btw i also agree with"guy who is surrounded by hot girls and doesnt even fuck one'i mean serously you surrounded by hot woman the first thing that should come to you mind is"gigity" not"omg i must not sleep with any of them just becouse i dont want to hurt there feelings".... that stereotype is so played out now.
It's not even 'I don't want to sleep around and hurt someone's feelings'! I mean, I could maybe understand that, but it's like some of these guys aren't even interested or they're terrified at the prospect of fucking some really hot chick that is clearly into them. Maybe Japan's full of Mormons.
maybe there gay?
Though certainly a possibility, it can't be the case every time, could it?
......i must consent the oracle about this
I can even understand it in SOME harem anime. Look at Tenchi Muyo, I mean the princess wanted to marry him and I would have run too, but Ryoko just wanted him to fuck her brains out. I don't care if she is hundreds of years old and a space pirate, she's a fucking fox!
oh god dont remind of that.tenchi muyo was legendary but the main protagonist made me mad as hell.here was a extremely kid nerdy kid with 4 extremely hot girls in one house(washu adult form, mihoshi, ryoko, and kiyone .dont consider ayeka hot and sasamis way too young) and he never even touch one.even though washu and ryoko throw themself's at him he freak out like a little pussy.it was such a obnoxious cliche in the show

Panty shots.

Massive boobs.

Nerdy/shy/reclusive boys.

Female-shaped robots.

Massive explosions coming from minuscule devices.

The whole willpower/friendship bullshit to overcome challenges. Especially in Yu Gi Oh.

Although, if any anime maker could make one based on all of the above, that'd be awesome just for the comedy factor.

A shy underage-looking boy gets constant sexual harrassment from his two robot housemaids who both have rather real looking gigantinormous boobs, but because he's shy he never enjoys it. They then fly into the air, obligatory panty shot here, fight a bigger robot who takes control of them both, turning on the boy, (EDIT) they fire some tiny pellets down which blow up his house in a spectacular explosion, then he says something about friendship and blah blah until the girls turn back and defeat the mind controlling robot!

Then a hentai spinoff occurs.

Then a million odd, freaky Japanophiles masturbate to my idea.

I feel wrong inside and kill myself.

And thus the circle of life is complete.

That's the difference between Japan and America:
In japan-one teenager surrounded with several hot chicks= PG-13comedy
In America-one teenager surrounded by several hot chicks=porno

This is why I want to see more American Anime-like Avatar: The Last Airbender. It had great animation, tremendous style, American sensibilities, cool action, and it was funny. Plus the plot actually made sense. I wonder what an American version of Dragon Ball Z would be like. It would pretty much be exactly the same, except fights would last one episode and there would be blood, tits, and cussing everywhere. Freiza: Prepare to die Sayian scum! Goku: Fuck you and everyone like you!

death note wasn't displeasing? THE MAIN CHARACTER DIES AT THE END

OT: That is actually my most hated cliche is when the/a main character dies and they just get replaced like it is no big deal.

I hate, hate, hate! those anime series like pokemon, bakugan, yugiyo (how ever its spelt) and all the other cartoons that involve little pathetic arena fights that makes the whole world suddenly slow down.

And they remain the only people left to kick each others ass. (which is slow as well, considering they talk to much) then when whoever beats who ,everything is back to normal with a person who lost an arena fight that is extremely depressed.

oh and the supposed-to-be-funny puns and jokes that are not funny and are begging for someone to hate them. "And the fact the 90% of anime girls are not good enough to masturbate to.... so I've heard...:p"

One Piece Syndrome-If it exist put it in. A bad guy made out of.....ketchup packets, why not? It's One Piece, they're no such things as limits or dumb ideas.

Shonen Jump Syndrome-All male characters are in the closet. Fucking tired of the 'bromance' stuff. Naruto didn't even know Sasuke for that long, stop pining for him, dude. And look at Ichigo, he can't wait to whip out his long, hot, throbbing, sword at his next opponent.

The one thing I hate about anime. The major thing is that the storyline can be dragged on for the longest time and not really say anything. An example of this would be Naruto and Inuyasha

Naruto started off as a classy anime about a boy wanted to become Hokage (Chief Ninja) BUT then it shifts him into becoming the grandmaster ninja or some shit. This is where I honestly lost interest in the series because the character didn't know what he wanted to do in his life. He's just stuck in an eternal awkward puberty.

Bleach started off on a good note. The character was likable and the story seemed solid. Until they finish the social society arc in which case we just rinse and repeat the same formula.
Friend A Gets Kidnapped by Enemy A.
Friends B, C, D, and E all fight against Enemies B - G.
Friends get beaten. Do training. Kick ass. Enemies G - M appear.
Enemy A becomes friend F. All friends team up and meet a few more along the ride.

Inuyasha is nothing but 100% filler. It started off nicely but then dragged on to the point when there was no point in watching it anymore. The main problem was that Rumiko Takashi said herself that "I suck at writing endings" and it shows. She instead takes every horrible inuyasha fanfic ever written and uses it to abruptly end the series.

One Piece is suffering from that Bizarre powers thing but that doesn't bug me because even though they are bizarre and out there. The characters are likable. What I don't find likable is the art style. It just draws me off course when the series attempts to be serious, but the story of one piece can be summed up in two words. The Internet.
However recently I saw the new manga.. and I think it looks better... hmm
One Piece dragged on not because Ora didn't know what he wanted to do. He said I just had fun with it which I found respectable because that means he didn't force himself to drag it on because he was trying to avoid the ending.

... Sorry for Wall O Text.

Highschool of the Dead is cheap schlocky exploitation. Which is what zombie flicks fucking well should be. If it didn't have excessive fanservice it would be doing it wrong. (Also, the manga is by a professional hentai artist, you gotta stick with what you know, after all)
Well, yes; but the matrix boobs? Come on. They couldn't possibly have done that seriously.
Am I the only one who's first thought at that scene was "Wow, that must have been a horrendous pain to animate" followed by "That?s some excellent animation. Wonder how much of their budget that scene cost."

How people like ash from pokemon saves someone in each episode and yet is never mentioned for it.

Seriously, Ash would be considered a ******* messiah by now!!

Another thing is when animes with fanservice try to be serious later down the road.
(Yeah, I'm looking at you Queens Blade)
