The ending had angst? Pretty much the entire anime was full of drama, emotion and "angst" (as you call it) from start to finish. When Lelouch got his geass at the very beginning he was pondering about why he was about to die pointlessly, etc etc. The whole anime is about emotional drama and complex plot twists (with mecha action as the icing on the cake), you either like it or you don't.Zburator said:The ending was still kind of stupid though. "Oooh I have to die so that everyone's hate dies with me! AAAAAANGST!" I exaggerate but why is it that every single fucking anime tries to have some kind of artsy deep message?...*sigh* I miss DBZ...
Ah yes Walder Frey, gods I hated him toomrhappy1489 said:I agree, definitely the best part about the third book.
What really made it mean something to me was seeing how much of a prick he was going to be to Sansa after the Red Wedding. I mean she thinks she's lost her entire family and you want to serve her her brothers head. His death was the greatest thing ever written and the perfect way for such a prick to die and his attitude in his final days made his death all the sweeter.
OT, I'd have to say my most hated character would be either Joffery, for reasons above andWalder Frey. For fucks sake he's bloody 16, he can make mistakes. Just because he slighted you doesn't me you can kill thousands of men! When your inevitable death comes, no man will mourn you. That also goes for Roose Bolton and his son. May the old gods punish you for all eternity.
Jaime is trying hard and it's good to see him finally coming to realise quite a few things,Toaster Hunter said:With the exception of Tyrion, pretty much everyone with that bloodline counts. Jamie is at least trying to be less of a prick, but it will take a lot to make up for what he has done.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFFFIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
This ************ right here is one of the few who has made the list of fictional characters i wish to see die in the most violent and horrific manner imaginable. If you know who he is, you know exactly what he's done to earn that place on my list.
To those that don't? Well, let's just say Karma needs to get around to paying him a visit sometime soon and that he'll be the reason you won't think of the twilight novel or the phenomena when you hear the word "Eclipse" from now on.
Given i never watched the new avatar series, and have heard some...mixed things about it, do you mind explaining a bit? If you have to use a spoiler tag that's fine but I'm a bit curious about just what the hell happened.Aaron Sylvester said:Let me know if anyone needs an explanation why -_-
HA! Yeah no. I have no problems with anti-heros. I like JAYNE for the love of God. I just really hate Mal because he's a complete and utter dick and people rarely, if ever, call him out on it. The thing is IMO, he goes way beyond being "flawed" yeah he is Human, but to me he's the type of Human that I would never want to meet. Mal is supposed to be the Jerk With a Hear of Gold character, and I probably would've liked him if that had actually given me a few more Heart of Gold moments. Really, why should I like him? He rarely does anything that makes him sympathetic. He only shouts at people, shoots people, kicks people into spaceship engines and is a smartass. I like Jayne better because he actually had a few moments where he came off as a nice guy, like in Jaynestown. So yeah, please do me a favor and don't make up wild accusations like me having problems with "Accepting" flawed heroes. Also, please don't call Mal a hero, every last "heroic" thing he did was out of pure selfishness.SpiderJerusalem said:Sometimes it is that simple, and looking at your answers to other peoples counters it just becomes more and more clear that the more nuanced, mature writing and character development is lost on you, and that you have a problem with accepting a flawed hero who makes mistakes and is human.erttheking said:Yeah, I refuse to take "I just don't get it" as a an explanation.SpiderJerusalem said:Yes, noted. I also would point out again your woeful misunderstanding of the character, the episodes and the movie.erttheking said:I explain it a couple of posts aboveSpiderJerusalem said:Now here's something so spectacularly trollish that I just have to ask:erttheking said:Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly...I FUCKING HATE Malcolm Reynolds from firefly. I have every last fucking thing about him.
Why?
So, yeah, I'd say that you don't get the character, or have fundamentally misunderstood him and thus it is on the viewer to accept it as their fault.
