2 things:

1. Fallout 3 after my Dad died I may have sort have ate him...
2. Like the one from Ainsley Bartlett I was playing Gran Turismo 4 and as a song did a *bleep* for swearing AT THE SAME TIME the race started with the *BWEEP*!

I think the song was Original Prankster by The Offspring

Sometime in TF2 I assume. I have no idea, but there's a shitload of good moments lying around.
Actually, just a couple days ago I decided to try and use my pen tablet to play it. Unfortunately you have to hover the pen in the very middle and move it where you want to turn, so it's not relative movement and INSANELY hard to control. So I made it to the far side of the 2Fort bridge as Soldier, two enemies dropped on my head, my pen spazzed, I fired at the ground and killed them both with a crit.

First Kael'Thas kill in WoW back in TBC - defining moment for my guild and the nerdscreams on vent when he died was legendary. Seriously - it woke my neighbours up.

Also Total War: Medieval 2; Was transfering my king from one city to another when he got ambushed by an army of 6 spearregements, one light chavalry, one chrossbow, two catapults and a balista. Somehow managed to kill or rout everything - Never have I been so proud.

Call of Cthulhu.

Running through the hotel and nearly shaking knowing if I did something wrong I'd be screwed.

Back when I played Jedi Academy a lot, I hadn't conceived of the alias 'Cheesus' yet and so I had myself as 'Grim', or variations thereupon. As you can imagine, Grim's a fairly popular nickname, so one time I actually ran into another. His clan accused me of being a - and I quote - "grimposter" [footnote]Grim + imposter, not a poster like on a wall[/footnote], and we had a duel.

As I recall, he won. But it was all pretty funny nevertheless.

Another fond memory is when I went to a friend's party, with a few other guys. One of them brought the then-new Silent Hill: Homecoming, and we took turns playing it for shits and giggles. It was about 11 PM at this point.

Anyway, in the opening stage there's a bit where you walk through an open door and some sort of corspe thing falls from the ceiling behind you. It's a very, very cheap scare but I distinctly remember half the room's occupants leaping a foot off their chairs.

And we didn't leave the room again all night.

I have several. Almost all involve Bioware (call me a fanboy).
From gaming KotOR at my friends XBOX, to DA:O, ME2 and DA2 (yes, it had its flaws, namely repetitive dungeons, somewhat boring combat, but the story and the moral choises more than made up for it)

Oh, and the time i completily assraped a HL2 deathmatch server with the crossbow (only occured once. Nowadays i assrape Mount & Musket servers instead).

(i use these alot (parentheses (or however you spell them.).).)

I have moments that I remember oddly, some with no significance, others when I've actually achieved something. Moments like beating N.Trophy in Crash 3: Warped as a little kid was a great moment, and the opening level of James Bond's Tomorrow Never Dies (I still remember all the sound effects, the unexplained phenomena of exploding crates, targeting the dish and the skiing exit).

I'm counting this as a gaming moment, even if I wasn't playing at the time:

The trailer would be one of the deciding factors in me joining this generation of gaming.

Most recently was at a KAPOW comic con in London this year, IGN had a stage set up and they were letting people come up and try and beat a lap time on the yet-to-be released Dirt 3 to win T-shirts. Last time I'd played a Dirt game, or any rally game of any nature for that matter, was the Collin McRae days of the PS1, so I went and had a few practice laps on some consoles nearby and off I went.

I ended up barreling around the track, doing alright, feeling nervous with having a crowd judging every turn of the wheel, and as I sped down the final straight I cocked up the finish, rolling the car after it hit a barrier, leaving just a glorious shower of metal as my spinning wreck of a car went flying off into the distance, all whilst my time for the lap popped up.

No, I didn't beat the time limit of 1:30 that time, but I had the presentor laughing to himself and the crowd with him. He offered a shirt anyway, but I declined, telling him I'd be back. I kept my word, returned and (eventually) won, and gave my prize to a friend (a fellow Escapist).

Probably when I played Ragnarok Online and would single handedly conquer castles that were in dispute with my assassin, netting my guild some extra loots.

I'm going to try something new here and try to think of some gaming moments that aren't in every thread of this kind... hmmm...

Allright, I'm going to add the ending revelations in Killer 7. I'm one of those mutants that could actually follow the story in that game and when everything came together in the end, it was like hearing a thunderclap in the back of my skull. Vastly underrated game.

Next, I suppose a more personal one, was when the GameCube first came out, or rather, Super Smash Bros. Melee. On a whim, I got it hooked up in my college dorm's big screen. In twenty minutes, we had twenty people surrounding that screen. We played tourneys for nearly 10 hours straight.

And most recently, although a bit trite, was first playing a 360. Now keep in mind, for the longest time I was a hardcore Nintendo fanboy. Didn't buy anything SEGA, Sony, Microsoft, Atari, nothing. After E3 2007 or whatever it was when Big N spent the entire time talking about Wii Fit, after spending years being dedicated for a handful of games and missing out on the rest, I finally threw my hands up, said, "Fuck It," and bought a 360. First game I played on a non Big-N console: Bioshock. Nice wake-up call, that was. Since then I've been backtracking and been picking up and playing all the games I missed out.

The endings to SR2, Just Cause 2, and Portal 2. Also the first time I blew up the death star in star wars trilogy arcade.

There's no bigger rush in TF2 than running out with the enemy intel, knowing the entire other team is after you.

This just kinda simulates that moment.

It probably got to be Quake when I encounter that white white monster (I forgot its name). That thing is scary and very hard to kill!

Hmm I've got 2:

Red Dead Redemption - After killing Bill Williamson and going back to Marston's family, and that beautiful song plays as you ride through Tall Trees.

Shadow of the Colossus - When the first Colossi turns around, the epic music kicks in and those eyes stare straight at you. You knew then that "it's on".

Then again, I've only just started playing SOTC for the first time TODAY, so there will hopefully be a moment that tops the previous one later on...

Man, there's so many..

My first big one was probably when I was about 6 or 7, when after owning the PSX for over a year my mom agreed to buy me a memory card, and I could finally complete the upper tiers of Crash Bandicoot because I would constantly get stuck somewhere in the middle, and by then it was usually bedtime for me, so I never got to experience the whole game. Finally being able to see those new areas I remember was a huge deal to me.

I was playing Infection on Halo: Reach with a couple of my buddies on time. The match was on Sword Base and everyone had been infected except for one player (one of those 13 year olds who spends waaaaaay to much time playing). Anywho, I was running on one of the upper walkways, minding my own business, when I saw the Last Man Standing enter a balcony way below me. Knowing I only had one chance, I jumped off the walkway....and land right on top of him, giving him a big blue "fuck you" to the face, winning the entire match for my team.
