Metroid: Other M(enstruation) comes to mind, as so does Sonic Unleashed (and Uncoordinated).

Three way tie:

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Third game I bought for PS3. After the X-Men Legends games I was expecting Superhero-Diablo, got Superhero-Gauntlet.

Friday the 13th for the NES. The movies were poorly written messes where all of the counselors died because Jason is fucking impossible. The game was exactly like the movies.

The first Tomb Raider: My step-brother talked me into this one. Since I was a teenager at the time and boobs were the most important things in the world to me, it didn't take much convincing. Unfortunately it was as fun and sexy as piloting a woman-shaped pile of bricks through hundreds of empty rooms, up to several of which contained animal-shaped bricks.

Too Human, I was so excited for when came out, and then hated an hour after I started playing it, nothing like spending the majority of your time watching a Valkyrie slowly descend and revive you...

Hmm... let's see :

1. The total war series discount from steam sales - never played it, although the 2.50 price tag doesn't hurt that much.
2. The indie bundle from steam X-mas sales.
3. Starcraft 2 - I guess I never liked the game. gave away my account in the end.
4. Assassins creed - BAD PORT. Same thing happened with this in regards to SC2.
5. Monster Hunter Freedom 2nd G - OS update, thats all I will say, also trading your old game scheme is just horrible.
6. The huge amount of Game boy advance games that I gave away. Those things were good for their time when I don't have to pay for my games, but today I see it as a huge waste of money.
7. Black Ops - What else do I need to say about its first few weeks upon its release on PC? And then they had it on sale at Steam X-Mas.

Lost Planet was the worst thing I've ever witnessed. It's still in my room somewhere. Lurking. Waiting.

MvC3 and Fuzion Frenzy 2. Im returning MvC3 tomorrow when I go to buy DW7. I also semi regretted DW6E, but thats because it took out so much and only was redeemed by Officer mode.

Two Worlds....God that was terrible. Played it for 10 minutes and never touched it again. Can't trade it in either because I can get a grand total of $0.50 for it

It would have to be Orcs and Elves for the DS. Whenever you did a move, all the enemies would move too. So it was like a turn based game hidden by an action rpg promise. Worst $20 I ever threw down.

Knights of the Old Republic. I tried three times to get into it and it failed every time. I just lost interest in what was going on. I'm sorta surprised at myself because I'm a massive Star Wars fan (Been watching it since I got out of the cot).
aww that's a shame. KOTOR had one of the best story I've ever gotten out of the game. even if it took really long time to get a lightsaber.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition.

Got it for a pittance on a steam sale, the game is practically unplayable and everything about it is either needlessly complicated or just outright shit. Last time I impulse-buy a game for anything less than free (with gift cards that is).

Battlefield: Bad Company. The storyline was boring, and I kept on having to search FOREVER for the fray in the online maps. I sold it back about a week after I bought it.

Its a tie between Street Fighter 4 and Red Dead Redemption. I suck something awful at fighters and RDR bored me to tears.
I agree, some parts of it are just so damn boring. The main story was fun, but then trying to do all the extra stuff was so bland. When I finally asked myself why I was hunting for invisible beavers out in virtual woods, I gave up on that game. I almost fell asleep playing it. Good atmosphere, though :p

NFL Blitz for the Gamecube. The N64 version is just so awesome. In fact, it's the only football game I've ever liked. I assumed the Gamecube version would be more of the same with better graphics. Nope. Just a bunch of f-bombs and hella complicated combos. In fact, they were so complicated, I never got past the tutorial.
Oh, and the graphics were shit.
