Your most surprising Fallout 3 moment

When I found Oasis.

I was walking around in the North eastern parts of the Capital Wasteland, looking for bobbleheads (i think it was the Charisma one) and I came across a bunch of people wandering around, yelling at each other.

I went up to talk to them and they said they were looking for a place where a lot of good loot is supposed to be, then, they said they had to kill me. I shot them and ran to this place and was just awestruck when I saw the first bit of grass.

Then, they got bigger and bigger, then I saw the first live tree in the wasteland. It was great.


My honorable mention is how I was just amazed when I went into the other vaults.

I've explored all of them and to see the horrible things that have happened there. The Super Mutant breeding ground in Vault 87, the cloning of all the Gary's.

Its just creepy.

Alright, got a new one. My cousin was playing on my Fallout game tonight, and decided to just screw around and go on a rampage of sorts. He stalked Lucas Simms into his house in Megaton, chased him upstairs, only to see him disappear into thin air in the upper story of his house. My cousin and I were befuddled, and he thereafter decided to take out his revenge on the raider infested Springfield Elementary School. So he went in, started massacring the raiders, turned a corner-

And found himself face to face with Lucas Simms.

We were both completely stupefied as to why he was there (much less how he came to be there), but this didn't bother my cousin for long; he immediately pulled out Jack Ripper and carved ol' Luke into luncheon meat.

Just because he wanted the Sheriff's Hat and Duster.

Yes, my cousin is very strange.

Yesterday, i was in Point Lookout, and i was stalking these two Creepers and a Tracker, then out of nowhere, 4 Ghoul reavers (4!) came out of the swamp water and destroyed them all! After the battle the 4! reavers started walking south so i decide to stalk them, we ended up at the pier and they kept walking! straight into the water. wired....

Also on that day, i decided to go back to the Space ship to kill the cowboy guy (cause i discovered he has a powerful magnum) and when i got there, He was in corner and it said he was fleeing (?) i had no idea what he was fleeing from....

Also i was on a hunt to kill the Albino Scorpion for the first time (never really found it before) and i was like half a mile from D.C. when it came out of a ROCK and killed me instantly! (i always have the difficulty on hard)

Am I the only one who DIDN'T blow up Megaton.

No, I didn't either. Actually, that's not true; I blew it up on my second playthrough, then felt so bad that I started over.

Anyway, the...er, experience in Point Lookout (you know what I mean) was one such moment. Stepping out of the Vault for the first time was the other.

EDIT:Oh, I had another. Once, I was walking in the Wastes. I hear a noise and turn around. I'm being followed by a Giant Radscorpion and an Albino Radscorpion, and they are being followed by 2 Deathclaws. I immediately start sneaking (my logic being that, even if they know I'm there, I'm automatically a lower priority), and the Deathclaws kill the scorpions, but not before the Albino killed one of them. Now, I was using the Chinese Stealth Armor, so by this time I'm hidden. I ended the encounter with a VATS Sneak Attack with The Mauler on the last Deathclaw.

I didn't nuke it...

As I write this I'm on the hunt for bobbleheads, I just left the Dunwich building (creepy) and I am now in Vault 106 (extra creepy) the hallucinations really creep me out. Also, I still can't seem to find the Science bobblehead.

EDIT: When Point Lookout hits PS3 I bet I'll be even more terrified by the events there.

As I write this I'm on the hunt for bobbleheads, I just left the Dunwich building (creepy) and I am now in Vault 106 (extra creepy) the hallucinations really creep me out. Also, I still can't seem to find the Science bobblehead.

Science is to be found in Vault 108, with gary.

Honorable mention goes to finding out The Family's secret.

Family's secret still gives me nightmares :'(

Zombie Moria after blowing up Megaton.
Closely followed by stumbling across the Goul city by accident and Tranquility Lane.

When i first got to megaton I stole a scalpel from the clinic (thinking it was a weapon) and didn't see the doctor he started shooting.

I ran out and the whole town was shooting at me and chasing me.

Leaving the clinic was my last save it took me six times before I made it to the wasteland.

That's the Charisma Bobblehead, trust me the Science one is in 106, I just grabbed it and even looked it up.

The sex scene, well, the MUTLITUDE of sex scenes.
