The Nutcracker is okay.
The Nutcracker is brilliant, but unfortunately it doesn't have anything to do with Christmas (I don't think). It's just some of the pieces from it tend to be played around Christmas time for some reason (as well as the ballet).

OT: The Christmas songs sung by a choir are normally not bad.

My favorite is Brenda Lee singing Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree because my Grandma used to play it while I was at her house.

but as far as hearing it repeatedly all day... I am not sure I would want to ruin it that way for myself.
One song that I never want to hear is Stevie Nicks singing Silent Night. I thought what could be so bad about Stevie Nicks singing Silent Night, I like Stevie Nicks. Then I found it online and I wanted to jab my own ear drums out. I have not been able to listen to a Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac song since. :(

Oh Holy Night but it has to be sung by Michael Crawford, AKA The original Phantom of the Opera.

There's also this one:

Anything done by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra I'm fine with, any other Christmas music makes want to strangle Santa's elves. That's why I try to stay away from malls around the holidays.
agreed, and i too work at a grocery store and have to suffer that repetitive and terrible holiday music

Frank Sinatra, and only Frank Sinatra, singing "Let it Snow." The man had a beastly voice.
Heard this from Die Hard and I love it!

Best version of 12 Days of Christmas!

Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Either Christmas in Sarajevo (instrumental, but so damn glorious) or What Child Is This, or Back to a Reason, both from The Lost Christmas.

Though constant repeat could probably kill any of those songs. But it'd take a WHILE for Christmas in Sarajevo.
