Assassin's creed. I enjoyed the PC version - even though I didn't care for combat. Interesting that a William S. Burroughs quote features in a game set in the time of the third crusade.
I like Alan Moore's quote on conspiracy theories: "The main thing that I learned about conspiracy theory is that conspiracy theorists actually believe in a conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is chaotic. The truth is, that it is not the Jewish banking conspiracy or the grey aliens or the 12 foot reptiloids from another dimension that are in control. The truth is more frightening, nobody is in control. The world is rudderless."
I think "The world is rudderless" would make a good motto. We like to believe that there are rules and procedures in place - that everything's all laid out for us - we all plan as if we're a part of some giant system but everyone's just making things up as we go along. This isn't an entirely negative thing, I believe. This means we as individuals have a lot of freedom and a lot of power - more than we'd initially think.
Okay, I have a new motto.
